Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I wanted to do a tune up on the 996 so i started this morning at 10h00. the job was pretty straight forward but i had trouble with the rusty bolts around the mufflers area OMG at least 4-5 bolts broke but im not using them anymore as i will install bypass mufflers. the 3 bolts that hold the bracket to muffler, that was hard, really rusty, small area, real pain, also, the bad new is that 5 out 6 coils are cracked, some really badly, should i buy 5 new or 6 ??? suncoast or sunset for best price? i dont know if some of you had an hard time removing the coil near the sensor on the passenger side. The bracket is so much in the way, but i finally got it hehe . next jobs: remove the sparkplugs flush engine oil cats removal to install bypass cat

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

also, when removing the cats, are we using back the gaskets? and the sensors in the cats, do i remove them with the cats still in place? or i disconnect them from the engine(clips) and leave them in the cats?
