Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My radio is asking for a code but I never received one when I bought the car. I don't understand the reason for this since it hasn't been disconnected from it's power source. How do I find the code? Can the Porsche dealer help? It's an '01 C4.

POST 2Original post

Look in your owner's manual , sometimes the code will be there from original owner. I went to the dealer and was charged $50 for them to give me the code. Also, do a search...someone on this forum can get you the code. GL

POST 3Original post

Try Renntech and/or http://www.beckerautosound.com/Porsche/code.html

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'll try that. Thanks. The car sat trough the winter but the battery wasn't disconnected and was kept fully charged. I've read that after five days some systems switch off. That didn't happen the year before when it sat out the winter. Yeah, yeah, I know, I shouldn't let the car sit but this is my baby and it will never see road salt.

POST 5Original post

I'm with you on the salt, Thats odd...usully they do not do that.

POST 6Original post

Try looking on the build sticker under front hood-below crest-some techs but it there during the pdi
