Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Hi all,
My wife is attending a week long nursing thing this week about three hundred miles from home and today just happened to be her 40th birthday so I decided to surprise her by showing up after her last seminar and celebrating with her over a nice dinner.
Had just bought and installed a set of Dunlops I purchased off of ebay for $345. Paid a local Big O tire store to mount and balance them and off I went.
Uncharteristically for my neck of the woods..... It was raining like hell. I mean real monsoon type or rain from Sacramento all the way to Bakersfield.
In any event, the car performed flawlessly and very GTishly comfortable. The real news is the tires rock. I mean I was doing mostly high 80s to low trip digits on cruise the whole way and absolutely no, and I really mean no hydroplaning. I'll have to update post in the AM when I get the car out of valet to see the actual model as it escapes me right now. In any event, I have never experienced this kind of security in the wet in anything period.
Tires are quiet which was a main criteria for me. I'll see how well they last.
In the end, awesome car...the tug from 80 in fourth to blitz around slower cars and squirt through an opening is intoxicating... the top never leaked a drop, which is something that would always happen on my old 86 Targa during even moderate rainy days, the comfort of the whole package is just nuts.
Cheers from one happy 996 owner,
Great story, nice surprise, and a chance to drive your Porsche 600 miles...win, win, win. I have Dunlops on the front and they have accumulated 22k miles so far and still look good.
The tires are Dunlop SP9000s in stock sizes. Tenacious grip in the dry and without a doubt the best wet weather tires i've ever rolled on. I'm not affiliated with Dunlop or any other tire manufacturer for that matter. Just passing along info.
Cheers,
