I wanted to take some time to thank everyone here who has reached out to myself and my wife in our trying time. Her battle with cancer has been difficult to say the least. Many Many members here have gone out of their way to write, call and reach out and it's been a truely eye opening experience. I've come to know many of you as true friends despite never meeting most of you face to face. The "996 AERO" is gone to a new home, but I'll still be around here to participate every day. Hopefully things settle out in the near future and allow for another Porsche in the garage as well. This community is truely a great place. Andy and Yasmin Kutscher.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Andy, Congrats on the sale of your sweet 996. I hope and pray for all the best for both of you, and especially a quick and complete recovery for Yasmin!
Andy and Yasmin I an sure it is hard to openly discuss the challenges of day to day life when life itself hangs in the balance. We don't often touch the edge, and more often then not stay clear of it. You are faced with a direct battle and although some of us know exactly what that is like, other of us can only try and understand. As for me, I hope and pray for the recovery of your wife and also hope that in some way the friends you have and the places you reach to for strength give you the power to wake up and be strong everyday. One thing I have learned about people is that for the most part, they ARE good. Coming in contact with good people and drawing comfort in knowing that deep down we all are pulling for you is a wonderful gift. It would be egotistical to think that I have helped you any more than a stranger with a kind word on the street, but humbling to know that the community as a whole has come together to be so much more than one person. The occasional laugh and comic relief is where I hope my posts give you a little smile during a time when smiling seems so inappropriate. Then again, maybe the smile is because you are living in the day, and enjoying the things that are good right now. I pray that those smiles carry you though, and are transferred to your wife through love and affection. I am sure you know that she needs your strength, your love, your enduring support and very long hugs. Best wishes and keep on being the great Andy for Yasmin

+1000. I wish you and your wife nothing but the best and for a complete and speedy recovery. Best of luck to you both.
Your avatar says is all. In fact my wife said that all along!! [edit--any chance you could send me a copy of your ribbon avatar?] Short version: About 9 years ago, my wife was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and given about 1.5 years to live. First chemo, which did not quite get it all. Then a surgery which did not help either. . . Well, after a bone-marrow transplant, she just had her 7 year scan and it's clean! Considered cured (well, as close as they ever use that term). So keep the faith!
I love stories of people successfully battling cancer. Keep it up!
Staying in our prayers wishing you the best outcome.......
Kick that cancers butt! and remember that your Rennlist friends are here for you and thinking of you and Yasmin.
I wanted to reply to this thread right when I saw it but these threads are tough to say things on. So, all I can say is good luck to your wife most importantly and you too.
