Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Was going to check the oil last night and lifted the release lever near the door sill......no tension felt on the lever from the cable going to the lock in the engine bay. How can I fix? And can trip the engine lock from the outside with something? I needed a Saturday project!

POST 2Original post

need to open up the door sill and yank on the cable to open the lid.... once lid is open adjust the latch mechanism up to tighten the cable release.... PM me for hidden emergency release cables for trunk/engine lid.
