BTW Tim, that Accord really stands out among the run-of-the-mill Porsches.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Jetpilot and I were talking today about trying to get a group of guys together for lunch. Would anyone be interested in lunch on Wednesday, 2/25? We were thinking on meeting somewhere in the I-35/635 area.
When: Wednesday, February 25th.
Where: Hooters in Addison (5005 Belt Line Rd)
Time: 11:30 A.M.
I'm tentatively in depending on work.
FYI- because of Valentine's Day, all the girls are wearing lingerie at Twin Peaks this week so my lunch schedule is booked all this week.

Well, that's where I plan on parking too. There's more space in the back so ess chance of door dings. Actually, I need you to park by my passenger side. You're a known quantity so I assume you won't door ding a perfectly good 911.
///Michael
Michael, be careful not to park next to Tim's Honda. Word is he's out for revenge on folks still driving Porsches and he doesn't give a crap if he dings
his
door.
Doesn't that camera have a zoom lens for chrise sake? Those girls were blocking the cars !
LoL looks like fun - cool they came out and did photo's with you guys
Very nice pics, thanks for posting them... too bad I could not join-in this fun lunch, I see that Hans and Mark from RAC joined the gang too, cool. Was that a blue 997 GT3 that Hans or Mark drove in?, nice!
Tom, the pics turned out great. Man the front end on that Honda is so much more agressive looking than those Greman cars!
I really enjoyed seeing everyone today! It was a good turn-out for a mid week lunch. Thanks guys!
Next hooters lunch needs to be earlier or later so more of the help can take a break for pictures. In fact, there should be (at least) one for each car.
-td
Which model 911 is that white one?
I wished I could go to some meet ups but I hate having to trailer the car, unload it, and push it around the parking lots.......it would be nice to have a motor in it....
You know, the photos of the cars are nice, but to be honest, you guys were photographing the wrong things... gotta agree that someone needs a zoom because you don't go to Hooters and get the women to pose with the cars without at least taking a good shot of them!
Nope - Tim's the tall blond with the real hooters. BTW Tim, that Accord really stands out among the run-of-the-mill Porsches. I know those Hooters girls
really
wanted to meet the guy who drove that car!
Since most of us have never seen your faces, we should play "Bobble Head Porsche" + (1) Honda
Simply cut the heads of each owner and guess which car he drives by photo shopping it in the drivers seat. I BET there would be some laughs there as we most certainly would guess wrong and you guys know the truth.....
anyone game?
Or am I going to my room to think about what I said
I think that is a great idea! The two guys from RUF rode together in the same car, so the person behind the camera is not shown in the pic of the guys, so there will be one "extra" car.
I shall remain anonymous. I am the sexy one taking the picture of the group.
Yall should have stuck around - I have close ups of the girls. Just kidding.
On second thought this might be a BAD IDEA
here's my first (complete guess) try.... I didnt research old posts or anything, i just looked and picked. - I feel bad if I really messed up... but hey... how would I know
Oh man, too bad I can't play bc I already know everyone except for JetPilot in his silver 997 but this one would be too easy to guess if he was in the line-up too. Initially I thought that Hans from Ruf came in with the blue 997 GT3 and Mark Plummer also from RUF came in with the other 997 (silver car) but now we know that Jetpilot was there too and he has that silver 997
Let's see who can guess it correctly, excluding the local "Dallas" Rennlisters.
Ok, here is the official pic. Left to right in the pic First name and RL ID
Tim (gota911)
Hans & Mark (from RUF)
Michael's car (Jetpilot) (he was taking the pic)
Tom (himself)
Steve (Steve C.)
Michael (Michael-Dallas)
PS Hey Ed, I am a hell of a lot better looking than Mark is, which is why I can get away with driving a Honda!
Damn, I was close ! ! !
I had Tim nailed, then changed my mind
Tom - I would have never guessed, and I would have guess Micheal Dallas closer as I knew he was recently married so he probably still looked normal and not all beat up like the rest of us long time married guys! LMAO
Nice cars all and I hope my mistakes were not so bad..... all in fun and please, I really didnt research that hard... just click and pick.
But darn, NONE... that's horrible (though I still could Tim as a 1/2 since I did have him there, then started over...
)
AND I thought you said your Honda was a dirty POS... looks pretty nice to me, my wife would like it
MUCH better LOL
turns out I dont have any pics of me since last summer ? and since I have grown my hair out really wild and ugly, an old picture would not really give you the impression of how ugly I am...(alway had an "Army" haircut sine the 80's) I will work on getting one and we can post it for the dart board
I haven't been able to follow this thread all day so I'm just now catching up, but you guys crack me the hell up!
Ed, don't feel bad about not getting Tim right. I thought he was in his early to mid-30's. Imagine my dismay when I first met him!
I think I may wear a disguise for the next meet to throw you non-local yocals off.
