Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
Personally, I do my own minor maintenance, but I wouldn't replace a clutch.
Leading evidence: 'Replace clutch' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace clutch' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

2001 and earlier use a different plug, and those are 30K.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I took my beast in for its 30,000 mile service this past weekend. While I got hosed on the rate ($1k), the car came through with flying colors. The only flaw they could find was a broken tether for the gas cap.
I'm sure it's all in my head, but the car seemed to drive even better as we rolled away, but that also could have something to do with my deflated credit card. No matter - it's my Porsche, so it's worth it. (The Jeep did NOT get a 30k checkup)
WOW, I didn't know the gas cap tether was so pricy!
The car should feel faster, because your wallet is $1,000 lighter. Anyone know how much $1,000 weighs?
Yeah, Porsche really gets you on the 30K & 60K check up!.
To make it even worse, they didn't replace the gas cap tether. I did it mostly because the CPO warranty is about to expire, so I figured it'd be best if any warranty work was discovered by a dealer instead of an indy. the 60K will be done by an indy or I'll do it myself (I found a great how-to thread that eased my concerns about the serpentine belt).
That is not a bad reason to have it done. Glad it checked out OK. You should call them back and tell them that they forgot to swap out the tether, and for $1,000 that is the very least they should do.

As part of every dealers profit enrichment plan, the replacement interval of things like plugs, filters, etc. is halved.
HMMM, the 30k was done by an indy right before I bought the car, and I have the receipt that showed new plugs, so I just assumed....but maybe porschedogs dealer also participated in the dealer enrichment program...I'd sure hope so for $1k. Of course, NOW I have to pull a plug to be sure they put the right ones in...I guess I'll have to do a search on Renntech for what the correct plugs are.
Well, then, by P-car standards, that's not too bad...the indie charged the PO on my car $900 for the same thing, plus, including (you'll love this) charging him $40 for an activated charcoal cabin filter, but when I inspected it, it was just a pleated filter paper filter. No charcoal. Hence my comment on checking to make sure I have the right plugs installed. My indie charges $280 , parts & labor for a plug change. I'll do it myself.
P-dog,
If you feel the money was well spent, then good for you.
In the end if a woman can feel good by spending $1,000 on purses, shoes, clothes, or other crap, then a guy should be able to feel good about spending $1,000 on "car stuff".
Amen!
Hey Orient Express,
I think you have made it abundtantly clear you don't approve of P-dog's purchase of his service. Let's not rain on the guys parade.
To each his own.
Sorry OE, but I can see wanting the dealer to do the 30k to protect him in the event of a CPO claim. To use your comparison, I'm sure your woman wouldn't let you do her hair to save $150, even if you could learn! Some things are often better left alone. Personally, I do my own minor maintenance, but I wouldn't replace a clutch.
Yeah, I didn't mean to be mean to P-dog, I'm sure that he made the best decision for his situation. No disrespect intended.
If I was good at it like I am with the Porsche, I bet she would, plus she would get my service special.
