Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Sounds like the indy disconnected the front hoses to do the flush and they may be leaking now.
Leading evidence: 'Disconnect front hoses' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check coolant tank' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

My green coolant was flushed two weeks ago and replaced with pink coolant.

When he pressure tested the cap, it worked ok in one aspect but not another, so we replaced it.
Outcome qualification: Negation, uncertainty or missing explicit repair resolution overrides the raw extraction signal.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Little pink puddles adorn my floor
I just bought this stinking P-car
And now I'm back to the shop for more
Work that needs to be done
Instead of driving just for fun
Post-purchase work now at ~$1500.
Puddles -- spots really (1" diameter) -- are on both sides of the car at the edges towards the front, so I thinking it's going to be a problem with the tubing. I think this may be partially my fault since I went along with the suggestion from the indy to have the coolant flushed two weeks ago. Or the flush could just have exposed a problem I was going to have anyway -- just did it a little sooner.
I did decide not to spend $3k on a warranty and to save it for situations like these. I guess we'll see where it balances out...
Still working on getting started with #3. I do think that I at least need to acquire the tools to easily get the car up on stands and to be able to do basic maintenance around the wheels (i.e. my immediate need is to slightly raise the rear suspension - easy to do with PSS10s with the wheels off).
as for jacking the car, I have found the stock jack in the trunk gets the body up high enough to get my regular floor jack under the car and raise it up high enoough to work on. Its like a circus act, but works well once you do it a time or 50
Sounds like the indy disconnected the front hoses to do the flush and they may be leaking now. Easy to check, once the bumper cover is removed. What are the heights of your F&R wheel arches with the PSS10s? I'm trying to get an idea of what height corresponds to what look for my PSS9 install. How much thread shows under the locknuts F&R?
Me too. The tech put the car on the lift and I got to see the bottom side for the first time. There was a little condensation from the AC in the center of the car (normal) and evidence of some blowoff of coolant on the left side exhaust (normal). Tech thought that perhaps there was an air bubble or the coolant tank cap didn't release pressure appropriately. When he pressure tested the cap, it worked ok in one aspect but not another, so we replaced it.
So basically I got a $45 lesson in what to look for if it were really a coolant leak. I also got some tips about how to get the car onto jack stands and placement of the stands. One of these weekends I'm going to have to break down and buy some tools.
Please, please, let me have a nice refund.
I think its part of the initiation when you first get your dream car...
Mine was the starter that went out 2 weeks or so after buying... Of course, I did have the ext warranty and it was covered ($800+ of repairs).
Im paranoid - but Im re-upping for the warranty when it runs out this November. I can handle the routine maintenance but an engine or tranny would be tough...
Yeah, must be an initiation, mine had a loose coil pack from the 30k service and started missing, running rough, and then threw a CEL 3 days after I got it. About **** a brick. Free flatbed tow (AAA) and $126 later the Porsche indie gave me the good news. He checked out the other coils, too, and they were fine. Bought diagnostic software the next day.
I've heard that the extended warranties have limitations on what they will pay for the tranny or engine. There was a thread not long ago here where the warranty company wouldn't pay for a new tranny, so the owner was left with having to purchase a rebuild or sending the car somewhere distant from their home. Which warranty do you have, how much did it cost, and what does it cover?
I have the "EasyCare" - car had 15 months left when I bought it. I think it was somewhere around 1500 new. It's sold by all of my local dealers - and yours too, Beasley Porsche. My local service guy said the coverage was on par with CPO, except there is a deductible. But overall, service guys said this company was cool to deal with...
It may be worth a look.
ok, so you should all laugh at this one...especially if you have kids.
I get home today and my son tells me that all the pink spots were from he and his friend riding an electric scooter in circles in my garage while drinking pink slurpees!!!!
That is one of the funnier things I have heard lately!
My closest kid encounter was one of them coming just inches from ramming with a tricycle. I just caught the handlebars in time!
I have learned also to wait till something repeats before jumping off the deep end... Its a great leason and no one could have told you what you already learned!!!
WTG on the "Repair"
I had a beautiful little pick-up (my pride and joy at the time) for 14 years. It recieved 2 accidents. (1) the neighbor girl put a 20 inch scratch down the fender with handlebars of a $10 bike, and the other was a 7 foot by 6 inch wide side swipe my wife put in it while it was parked and she was coming home with her car
These things happen, narrowly avoiding them is even better!!
Sage advice. Chalk it up to new owner jitters. I should have waited a day after cleaning the garage floor to see if any of the spots reappeared. The real lesson for me is that I need to have enough equipment here to avoid a trip to the shop for every little thing.
Seriously, though, that is TOO funny, what a coincidence!.....I'd definitely add either Durametric (Porsche only) or Autoengineuity (all OBDII cars but have to buy the expanded Porsche option for an additional $99) software to your "gotta have" tool list. Durametric is more expensive, but supposed to do more. I couldn't see spending that much when the other will do all my cars, plus it has performance logging.
