Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

22 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How the P-car world lately? Yeah...I miss the 996. But with 333hp on my new M3, it's pretty hard not to smile. If anyone is interested, I really need to move this Tequipment Roll bar for a 996 coupe. Brand new and has all the mounting hardware. New it was $840. Make me a (reasonable, please) offer. Local guys near St. Louis will get an even better deal. Email me: [email removed] Thanks all. Hope everyone is doing well. Chad A.

POST 2Original post

Well somebody had to be first to reply......couldn't let this thread fall off the first page without a few hello's!!!!! Even though you don't have the P-Car.....you know the rules! New car=new pic posting. You haven't been gone that long to forget, have you? Hope all is well in St. Louey for you. Cheers,

POST 3Original post

Hey Chad , how are you? How is the wife? Trust all is going well with the little one on the way. Glad your M3 is filling the P-car void, kind of. I would love to have your roll bar for my car. I am sure that it would save my life on the track and/or the street. I am however trying to to stay stealth on my interior mods; my pedals are black and I would like a black roll bar. I would like to continue with a black roll bar. Do you think it could be painted? I assume it will work with GT3 seats since it's a P-car Techquipment.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys... Wife is doing very well, thank for asking. She is now 7 mos. and holding up quite well. I grin (I am right now) when I write about this. Here is the new ride. I like her. (her name is Emma). Though she is a bit overweight (3400#), we are on a weight reduction program and we have a goal of losing a couple 100#. Out of the box she has 333hp. I have been informed that 450-500hp with street reliability is very doable. However, I will be quite happy in the 400's. Glad to see you all are well. My plan is to drive the **** out of the M and pickup a GT3 down the road. How cool would that garage look, eh? cheers all, Chad

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Answers: Yes, I am sure that you could paint it. For that matter, I would get it powder coated. (More durable), but paint will work nicely. And yes...It would be perfect with the GT3 seats. Shoot me an email. I'll give my rennlist buds a deal. Chad

POST 6Original post

Chad, where does it attach, how easy in/out install? I might be interested. Glad all is well. Chris

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey Chris, It attaches at the rear seatbelt hard points and the lower front seat belt hard point. As for ease, I am not sure. I never got around to installing. They do look really cool installed. Shoot me an email. Chad

POST 8Original post

Good to hear you are keeping alright. Is the US version 333bhp? The ROW is 10bhp up. Ciao, Johannes

POST 9Original post

Hows it going Chad, Hope all is well.........I dont want the roll bar, i just wanted to say hi , so HI!

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys... Johannes: Yep. Soon to be over 450hp. Hi Kilrgt. Doin well thanks!! Chad

POST 11Original post

Hey Chad, I am a little confused. Why did you get rid of your 996 to get an M3 again? If you had gotten rid of the 996 in order to get a sedan, station wagon, minivan or SUV I would have understood more. M3 seems mighty close to the 996. Sorry if I missed previous explanations. Good luck to you, your wife and your little one on the way! TD

POST 12Original post

chad, m3 mods and reliablilty are not synonymus just kiddin. good luck with the m3, be sure to get the motor recalls done ASAP.

POST 13Original post

i thought it was because of a mixture of lack of headroom and new baby on the way (i.e. 4 seats) of course chad can answer this himself.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Done my friend. Thanks for the concern. My last M was amazing. And the easiest car to work on I have ever owned. Chad

POST 15Original post

Hey Chad, just wanted to say Hello. That is a fine looking M3...I want an M3 or an M5 also!

POST 16 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

DING, DING, DING!!! Thanks ma brotha. That would indeed be the answer. I am just a big dood with no headroom in my old 996. With a helmet that is. So who knows. Maybe I'll be in the market for a GT3 (no sunroof ) in the next few years. In the meantime, I get to still go fast...and have plenty of room for the family. Chad

POST 17Original post

Hey Chad... Your new car doesn't look like a Porsche--more like a BMW, I would say! Nice car man...good luck with her...she's pretty nice.

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Jim. Last minute decision. Turned out to be a good one. Lots of room for the big man. Chad

POST 19Original post

Before you know it you'll drive like a parent. I'm the local school zone enforcer. I have 3 on the way to work and keep everyone behind me at 19 mph. :-)

POST 20Original post

Chad - I thought you had fallen of the face of the earth, or worse... that you had gone over to the DARK SIDE (BMW)! Oh, wait... you did get a M3. Scratch that last remark! Good to "hear" from you. Nice looking ride! Glad to hear the "better half" is doing well. I'm very glad things are working out for you. Don't be a stranger, keep in touch!

POST 21Original post

I heard there is pending revision legislation down in Salem about our stupid "20MPH at all times" in the school zones. Seems they want it standardized to certain hours when school is in session only. Not to many kids on the playground at 2:00am Sunday morning.

POST 22Original post

I was actually agonizing about whether I could go normal speed now that school is out on the ones marked "school days"
