Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

They will be a bit stiffer than fluid filled ones but I'd consider them.
Leading evidence: 'Fill ones' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Fill ones' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Original Mounts were shot and these made a big different when installed (I also replaced the transmission mount and few weeks later).

They were **** so replaced with Rein for $150/set.

Figured I can replace the Uro rubber multiple times with the OEM cost.

I've been running the RS ones for several years with zero issues.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hitting a wall trying to source a pair of engine mounts for my 996. Here's where I've struck out so far:
Pelican Parts took my order for Rein mounts, then instantly canceled. Said they couldn't source from any supplier and had no ETA. Tried O.E.M from AutohausAZ next, same story, order canceled with a note saying the part is no longer available. FCP Euro has the VNE option backordered with no ETA. What's left online is the usual Bapmic, Hamburg Tech, no name eBay stuff I'm not going to put in my car. Genuine Porsche mounts are almost $500 per mount, which feels insane for what's basically a rubber and steel puck. I'd rather not spend $1,000 on two engine mounts if there's any other option.
To head off the obvious suggestion, I'm not going solid or semi solid. The car sees canyon driving but it's still a street car and I want it to drive like one. No interest in turning the cabin into a vibrating mess to fix a sourcing problem. So my question is, are we coughing up for Genuine Porsche?
consider the RS mounts

The Uro ones are pretty reasonably priced
and a few RL'ers on here have installed them w good results
I bought a set of genuine mounts from Delaware Porsche Parts for ~$325 per mount for my 2003 C4S. Not cheap but also not the $500 you quoted. Just checked and current price is $322 per mount. Original Mounts were shot and these made a big different when installed (I also replaced the transmission mount and few weeks later).
Appreciate the input all! The RS mounts are intriguing. I'm more worried about setting off the knock sensors with these semi/solid engine mounts. Do you by any chance know if this would be the case with the RS mounts. It seems as if the rubber RS bushings may not be as much of a problem? Though the stock bushings are hydraulic fluid filled, so depending on how firm they end up being they may not?
I've been running the RS ones for several years with zero issues. They are a rubber mount so will have some give and are a nice middle ground. They will be a bit stiffer than fluid filled ones but I'd consider them. The OEM ones have a 993 part number.
Im wondering this too as the RS mounts are simple and light. plus, maybe different elastomer rubbers could be used in them if you wanted more isolation.
Engines from that era also had knock sensors. Why are the M96 sensor/engine/chassis combination prone to be so sensitive?
also note that I bought my 2002 in 2017 with the original mounts. They were **** so replaced with Rein for $150/set. Now they are shot again but lasted an expected amount of time.
well those motors were mezgers,100% different air cooled and were also put in race cars with solid mounts. Im sure where and how the the knock sensors read is complety differently then a m96/7 motor.
URO and
Hamburg Tech can be "modified" to be stiffer. There is a thread here somewhere about getting new "rubber-type" mounts and adding a 3M black window sealant to the empty space around the rubber. The 3M stuff has a "x" durometer rating, I don't remember what, and is impervious to heat, etc. It is also only about $30 for a tube and stiffer than snot to get in that small space. Window shops or Amazon to get it. If you take your old mount out and compare it to a new mount, you will see that the rubber part is stretched (?) or pulled out, meaning ~3/8" longer than a new mount.
Whatever, diligence and care works. Tape around the "hole" and apply the sealant. Smooth out the top with a wet gloved finger, NBD. Remove tape and it looks great. The mounts must cure for at least 24 hours and they are noticeably stiffer than without the added material. Video ---

YMMV
My local dealer matched Delaware Porsche Parts and got them in next day. ECS only had hamburg technic in stock and they sounded to be pretty garbage. They are unfortunately a little more complex than just a hockey puck and bolt. Mine were collapsed though and it was well worth the $$$$.
Yeah, its a constant process of looking for parts by vendor. Some get them sooner than others or still have a couple hidden on the shelves. Eventually the supply chain will come into equilibrium. The Pandemic thoroughly screwed up the "just in time" methodology. We havent recovered yet and now we have tariff battles and further offloading of manufacturing to cheaper outlets. Its a mess.
But its doable if you stay on top of it.
Merci Siberian14, tu m'as donn des ides. J'ai remplac un support qui fuyait (il avait 3 ans) et j'en ai profit pour combler les interstices avec du mastic polyurthane Shore 40, sur les deux supports bien sr. Je vais laisser scher 24 heures avant de tout remonter.
I have been using the RS mounts with OEM hardware and Uro rubber for over a year now. Figured I can replace the Uro rubber multiple times with the OEM cost. The job was not that difficult to do. Have not had any issues so far. My original mounts were still working fine, but the engine was sagging.
I just ordered these, not installed yet but they are reasonably priced and well made.
