Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Yes, and in times past we have installed the bearings for them, but no longer and have not in at least two years.

I guess I'll be using those pistons for target practice after all :-)
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Stuttgard Classic Parts. 996 rebuilt engine complete with PS pump, starter, AC compressor, wiring harness for $8070. 12 month/12K mile guarantee Does anyone know about this place? To good to be true? Anyone with feedback. Oh, they also sell rebuilt heads, transmissions. and all kinds of Porsche stuff.
I received PMs and emails about this asking if we had anything to do with these engines since this company is also located in the same town as we are. Its pretty crazy and hard to believe that two Porsche engine shops to be located within 10 miles of each other in the North Georgia Mountains.
The answer to this is
NO!
These engines use none of our parts, or processes and we have never touched one of the engines, or even seen one. I did offer to sell them some of the used, core parts that have zero value to our program, but they didn't seem too interested.. I guess I'll be using those pistons for target practice after all :-)
I just figured I'd make this clarification, for the record since people believe we are affiliated in some way.
Good! Some of the readers actually were. I may have to pt a disclaimer on my website about this soon. Hell, even a local person at the grocery store thought I was "the other guy" just because I was in a 996 and he and I are the only Porsche owners in the entire damn county.
Google is a great resource :-)
On there site, they offer to upgrade the IMS bearing to the LN bearing for $500 extra. Might be the cause of some of the confusion.
