but I think you can get that repaired for $50 to $100....

Your 4th wheel that looks like it was struck by an axe will diminish the value of your set unless you have it repaired.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I know this may sound stupid, but I have great wheels but aren't crazy about them on this car due to the front nose and side skirts.
Not sure if I want to trade but may be interested for the right wheel?
Maybe Turbo Twists?
Mine are 18" and I'd want to stay with that size.
Would have to be local becaue I can't be without my car.
I know...sounds dumb and probably no one would want to do this but I thought I'd throw it out there.
One of the front wheels has a ding in it.
If I get that far I'd send you a close up.
Here's a picture.
Your Carrera Lightweights are one of the lightest OEM rims (made by BBS too) at around 20.5 pounds in the front and 22.5 pounds in the rear. Great for DE and tracking.
You should have no problem trading.
I upgraded mine to the Carrera IVs but kept my old Lightweights.

What would look badass and are the perfect offsets are the set of Sport Techno's from my Turbo that I am selling. I am not interested in a trade but your wheels are ones that many people want especially the 993 crowd.
I'll trade as I have a different wheel you might like? Sport classic II they're called, and they're factory wheels for a C2.
If you want to trade, I could do that but I'm not local; I could always send you my wheels first, then you send yours so you're not without your car. That work? Send me a PM if interested.
LVDell, how much do you want for the Sport Technos? Do you have pix? What do you think I can get for mine?
Garrett, I like your wheels, do you have more pix?
I would trade these wheels for yours or sell them outright. On a trade I could send you the wheels, you have your tires switched and send your wheels back.
Doug, I like your wheels. Are they true? Are they staggard sizes?
What brand are they. They have some scuffs, can I get pics of all four?
I'll send you pics of all four of mine tomorrow. One has a nick in it but is true.
I have original turbo twists will trade no problems, I'll even have them refinished for you so they looks nicey nicey if it's twists you want . Send you the wheels mount your tires and send me the wheels back.
I am not sure on the manufacturer of these wheels. I bought them used about 4 years ago. Ran them for a while and then went in a different direction. The sizes are 8.5"x18" ET 52 and 10"x18" ET 48. I have lots of pics, front back. etc. of each wheel. PM me an email address and I will send you the pics.
Black Wheels look really good with that color- get 19", then get some black exhaust tips, LED tail lights, LOWER IT- and PLEAAAAAAASE SOME CLEAR SIDE MARKERS!!!
I like black wheels but I doubt anyone will want to trade them.
I have two offers:
1) Turbo Twists
2) Carerra Classics
Does anyone have any opinions which would look best on my car
RE: curb rash.... I have seen worse.... and they keep driving them (there is one car that comes to the shop that is like O M G !! never seen anything so bad! - yours aint nothin')
I am sorry I am not following the wheel change thing... I mean, I think they look fine. You just bought the car, why not just leave as is for a while. No need to change the front end, the rear end, the wheels, the the the....just enjoy it
(then again I suppose if I would have got parts that fit maybe I would have a differant outlook
)
Your 4th wheel that looks like it was struck by an axe will diminish the value of your set unless you have it repaired.
Since you are low on cash are you imagining a straight up trade? (no $$ involved)
You should have no problem selling yours as long as you get the damaged wheel repaired. There are not many people that would trade or buy a set of wheels that are that damaged. Unless they are wheels that are a step down. Other than the sport designs, your wheels are at the top of the food chain of standard wheels in terms of popularity and price.
The newer style turbo twists (like you see on a 996 Turbo), the sport technos, the 996 gt3 wheels, are all a step up as they were an option and a much better looking set of wheels.
Tim had a set of the optional Turbo Twists in narrow body sizing if I remember correctly. Maybe he can post up a pic.
Just guessing here.... but I think you can get that repaired for $50 to $100.... $150 max.
Call your dealer or a local tire/wheel shop and ask who they use to touch up curb rash on wheels.
I figure I'll throw this out again.
I'm not crazy about my wheels. One has a little gash in it and is probably about a $100.00 repair.
Anyone interested in a swap?
Doug you mentioned that you'd be interested, are you still?
Anyone else?
These wheels are BBS stock Porsche, but they aren't aggressive enough for me with the GT2 nose.
I'm going to get new side skirts and I want wheels with a little more agressive look.
Any takers???
Steve, if you are interested in the Sport Technos I am getting the tires removed from them this week which will lower the price on the wheels since I will sell the tires separately.
Steve,
Are your wheels 18x11 and 18x8? If so, I've got Turbo Twists I'm not crazy about (I have a thing about symmetry), and may consider a trade.
Logger
There are narrow body and wide body turbo twists. If Logger's car is a C4S (which it looks like) then he has wide body wheels that will not fit.
11 inch rears will fit your narrow body just fine and there are a few made for your car (like my Technos and the GT3 wheels) but you need to get the offset right. The narrow body offset for the 11" wheel is 63. The wide body offset is 45.
