Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

He also installed a GAHH top with a glass rear window and defroster, which is nice.

There's a blonde running around our neighborhood in a 993 with the license plate "WAS HIS." Nearly made me cry when I saw it.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey guys. I'm a lifelong car freak who is happy to have found an active 996 forum. After losing my nicely modified Boxster to a divorce, I decided to move on to a 996. I found this nice clean '99 C4 Cab locally. At the moment it's all stock. I have lots of plans, but very little cash... Thanks for having me...
looks drop dead gorgeous!
BTW Black 996's are the fastest ones
snap more pics and lay the stats out for us to oooohh and awwwwee over
Welcome
Oh, and not all of us are active, I barely ever post
BTW, you can't believe a thing that Ivangene says. Just last week, he passed 10,000 posts. Now he's over 11,000. The dude doesn't have a real life - he lives "virtually" in Rennlist.
Your car looks beautiful. Have many happy (s)miles driving it. I traded my wife for a 996 as well. There's a blonde running around our neighborhood in a 993 with the license plate "WAS HIS." Nearly made me cry when I saw it.
Enjoy yourself, and you have avoided the dreaded "if you don't post a picture, we don't believe you" retorts.
See you around.

Nice car and good luck keeping it clean and waxed. Looks really pretty in the picture.
Enjoy the website. I imagine you know it get goofy around here and threads take off in different directions. All for fun though. Enjoy.
Thanks for the warm welcome. I noticed when reading through the threads here that many of them spin wildly out of control...perfect!
I don't have many shots of the 996 yet. My new lot is small and heavily wooded, which sucks for pictures. I need to take it somewhere and take some better ones, but the County decided to expend the world's supply of road salt in preparation for the .00002 inches of snow we got.
As for the details on the car, it's a triple black '99 C4 six speed. It has the full leather interior. The PO did clear side markers, although I still have to remove the orange inner lenses from the headlights. He also installed a GAHH top with a glass rear window and defroster, which is nice. It came with a hardtop, but it isn't original to the car. The hardtop's interior trim is tan. I'll dye it when I get around to it.
I do have some pictures of the Boxster. It was a '97. I had a lot of work in it...
I have eclectic taste in automobiles. In addition to the 996, I have two 912s (one rough, one rougher), a number of Mustangs, a Jaguar XJR and even a fox Thunderbird. I'm currently doing a ground-up restoration on a '65 Mustang fastback that my Father gave me when I was 14 years old. I've owned it for 32 years.
I hope to be a frequent contributor here.
HA! Took the picture in September - didn't post it 'til December.
I made some stupid New Year's resolution about procastination, but I haven't started on it yet.
That license plate should serve as a warning to the next guy that thinks about hooking up with this blonde catch of the day, although it sounds like she isn't a true blonde. "Anyone with intelligence can interpret its meaning". She definitely would be a fine catch - for someone else...
Great looking 996! To quote other members "Drive it like it's stolen!!!"
Cheers, SamT, Denver CO.
Wheel bearing went up in the XJR on the drive home last night.
No time to fix it. I have to travel 400 miles today...in the snow...in the Porsche.
Crap. Any one looking for a nice clean Brit?
congrat on the convertible, looks super extra clean.
I lvoe the XJR, but I don't think I could sleep at night thinking about what is about to fall apart
Ain't that the truth. When I find parts on the floor I have to figure out which car they fell off of.
Honestly, the Jag has been surprisingly reliable. It has stupid little problems from time to time, but the mechanics have been trouble free (because I just said that, it will surely grenade next time I start it).
I was looking for a large, powerful highway car to travel between houses and to carry my dogs. The thing is a hammer. It put out 370 hp stock. With a cold air kit, exhaust and smaller supercharger pulleys, it's well over 400 and smooth as silk.
Post envy.
Great looking car, btw.
Now to a long life of enslavement to keep the black looking good. (Clearly you have experience.) Well, not enslavement....it's just a lifestyle.
