Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have been lurking on the Rennlist for some time now, and thought I would post yet another thread with a Black on Black C4s. Its an 03 with 101,000km on the clock.. works like a charm... my sons got a K&N panel filter for my christmas present, so soon as the weather warms up, thats going in. also on the shopping list is a Sprint Booster, SSK, and summer bling.. Victor Equipment Florio's I hope... thanks for listening... regards Mike

POST 2Original post

Great looking ride Mike, welcome to Rennlist, and with pics even, well done. Kind of partial to black myself.

POST 4Original post

sweeeet!! black looks awesome! do a search on the K&N before ya stick that in - you "might" change your mind, on Renntech there is a new thread RE the subject too

POST 7Original post

Nice car - congrats! I think the C4S is one of the nicest of the 996s, but then again I may be biased! What exactly is a "Sprint Booster"? I have not heard of that before.

Welcome to the club Mine is a daily driver and thoroughly love it. Looks like you've got PSE too.

POST 13Original post

Welcome,-- you made an excellent purchase. I put a Sprint Booster in my 02 C4S and couldn't be happier with it. My understanding is that it signals the throttle bodies to open wider with just a small amount of pedal input. So, you will tap into quicker acceleration with modest gas pedal depression. You can turn it off, and revert to stock settings if you need to. Like when your kid begs you to let them drive.... The best $300 I ever spent. They are on sale now on Ebay at that price; you will love it. Also did the K & N, and have had not one hiccup. Just dont over-saturate the element with oil and you should be fine. Larry

POST 14Original post

Nice 4S..... though I think putting Victor Florio on it will take away some of the 4S beauty. If you want to stick with Victor go with the Innsbruck instead. Either way... drive it like you stole it!

POST 15Original post

Very nice car! Have fun and be safe. Don't assume that AWD keeps you out of trouble...the front wheels only pull when you have gas applied! I took out my K&N...went back to Porsche Paper. Although I have used K&N in all my other vehicles...this one I am not.

Is it only a tiptronic thing?

POST 18Original post

You Def didn't take those pics today cause there's plenty of snow on the road... Beautiful car!! See you around Ottawa!

POST 19Original post

Sprint Booster - improves throttle response. If I had one included - i Might keep it...not sure how it plays with ECU flashes. But for $300 I can get a lot of other more substantial upgrades on the car. From Sprint Booster website: http://www.sprintboostersales.com/whyitworks.cfm 'Sprint Booster makes your car 'feel' more powerful' - let's see why... Faster Throttle Response Sprint Booster makes your car's throttle respond faster to your foot. As a result, your gas pedal actually achieves a full throttle response 25% sooner than the stock configuration. Even if you have a 'sport' button, Sprint Booster will quicken the throttle response time. By making the throttle respond faster to your input, you will feel as though your car has more muscle than it really does! Sprint Booster does not increase Horsepower. Sprint Booster does not reduce your 0-60mph times. Sprint Booster DOES make your car 'FEEL' faster. Sprint Booster is not for everyone.
