Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I looked at the Rennline set on Pelican Parts' site.

Porsche OEM pedal set, specified for 997, but I think they will fit:

I'd appreciate any input, as well as confirmation that the OEM 997 Sport pedal set will fit, if I go that route.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Folks-
Newbie Mawgie, yet again.
I am going to install a pedal set in my '02 996 Coupe, 6 speed.
I have searched and shopped.
Budget is around $100.
Objectives:
1) more grip, and a reduction in the possibility of a rubber soled shoe slipping off of a factory pedal in wet conditions;
2) stylish good looks;
3) three pedals, plus a dead pedal;
4) no throttle extension;
5) 15-20 perceived hp gain.
Option #1:
SRP Racing Pedals (a little over $100):

Option #2:
Porsche OEM pedal set, specified for 997, but I think they will fit:

I looked at the Rennline set on Pelican Parts' site. $185 with a dead pedal, so that's over budget and out. Of the two above, I like the looks of both. The Porsche set looks a little less grippy.
I'd appreciate any input, as well as confirmation that the OEM 997 Sport pedal set will fit, if I go that route.
Thanks for your help.
dude... that avatar is SICK
!!!!
SRP all the way
BTW - go black
(this was something I said he should try, and I love the way they look - now he offers them)
nice write up Tom
this pic makes em look like they were not straight though (I am guessing that is just camera angle, but since it is "freehand" drilling its a very real possability)
though if I compare the drilled holes in the one pedal to the "marked holes" in the other they clearly are not straight with respect to each other
LOL - they wern't I just read.... Second Try - EVEN PEDALS!!!
yea, thats what it was, looks like you worked thru it!!
I have Rennline and love them.... but If I had to do it over again and for the price... SRP is the wtg. Black was the look I was going for and SRP def fits the bill. Here's my Rennline got it at Hershey meet ($110) while they were packing up and getting ready to go home..... BTW, this is the best time to strike a deal at swap meets, for them less stuff to take home.
