Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So I have been posting some engine pics and some questions. But here it is my -98 996 C2

POST 2Original post

I know how you feel, love the Snow but in the end it get on your nerves.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Actually I was quite supprised how well it handles. I have had no problems with it, thou I'm, driving with 225/50-17 spiked (stud's or what you call those) wintertyres. Only thing that is getting on my nerves is the tractioncontrol, it cut's way too much power...

POST 4Original post

looks nice, what was the list of items fixed while the car was down... I know you were doing cam pads, what else +1 for YEEEHAAWW in the snow, what great cars.....can you turn "mother" off??

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, the tc can be swithed off. I usually turn it off when turning at the intersection. For the engine, I replaced campad's, chaintensioners, waterpump, thermostathousing and lne ims upgrade. I allso planned replacing the rms but becouse it was not leaking, I did not change it.

POST 6Original post

dont see to many 98's on here... looks like a gem and truelly one of the originals. How many miles? and what type of service, engine history is on her? or did I miss your post on that?

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

1st engine, 82k km (51k miles). I'm the second owner. Sadly the original service book is lost, and i have no idea what is done to the car. But I'm sure the km reading is right, becouse the engine internals were like new. Exept the campads I had the car imported from Italy so it's hard to get service records from there...
