So I got on the phone today thinking that I'll just order a set of new shifter cables for my 996 since it's on the rack getting a new gearbox...but much to my surprise the local dealers, salvage yards and even those advertising in Pano have none. Anyone have a source for 1999 (unique) C2 6 Speed shifter cables? Part # is 996 424 041 09 ( I think) If somebody has a source or a set that can ship to Pittsburgh by Friday let me know! Danke

Call of the dogs... I found a set at Parts Heaven.. the only set they had. Most dealers had to order these because they are specific to the 99 and I guess are not in high demand. Needed 'em ASAP too. BTW, LA Dismantlers wanted MORE for used ones than the Porsche dealer for new... whaa???
