Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If the o-ring is missing get one - it it still fits loose then replace the cap.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys the other day when I was going to install my KN Intake when I opened the decklid I found my oil cap loose almost falling off and I saw oil on the bottom of the decklid. Then today after I went out I came home to check on my intake to make sure things were tight I noticed the oil cap again came loose. Ive always noticed this cap doesnt lock or does it. Do I have a bad cap should it click tight? I was also wondering if this could cause a MAF problem with these KNs. The oil hose is RIGHT next to the filter. Let me know what you guys think thanks

POST 2Original post

Cant opine on the MAF issue but I can tell you that my oil cap is very tight but does not have a"lock" feature that I know of

The cap should fit tight. It should also have an o-ring. If the o-ring is missing get one - it it still fits loose then replace the cap.
