Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

As a new p-car owner, I would love to hear everyones opinion on what their top 5 mods are for their 996. I would like to also know why you chose the products that you chose. I need ideas as the p-car population sucks hear in the high desert and I can not see cars in person.....Jeff
In no particular order:
1- short shifter
2- suspension
3- exhaust
4- body enhancements (I don't mean steroids or implants) and/or grey marker lights
5- driving education
...and many, many more...
Enjoy your new car when you get it and don't forget to post pictures.
Alon hit the nail on the head. I have recently done 4 out of the 5 he listed. (signed up for my first DE event next month) IMHO, the B&M short shifter is the best bang for the buck....good luck on any of the mods that you undertake......
The DE event is number 5, I have clear side lenses....and as you know I'm working on the right front end mods.....Now get Kilrgt to get the TT front bumper and sell me his GT3..... :-)...lol
See this board is SOOOO Smart....You guys dont miss a thing.I might have a line on a TT front Bumper, I'll Let ya know................And Alon # 6 You have dumb friends, I think that hurts!!
Hey KILRGT, that was from another post of mine and I'm sure that you didn't take me seriously.
Did you call Andy about this Saturday yet? You better book me for it before my wife gets back in town and manages my weekend time with house chores, shopping and all the other things that make me want to stick knitting needles into eyeballs.
1. Driver's Ed. Great fun and proof that you don't know how to drive nearly as well as you think, but you can learn to do so.
2. DE. Ditto above.
3. Tire upgrade
4. Safety equipment: rollbar/cage, 6 point harness, Hans
5. Suspension upgrade
1. Supercharger
2. Exhaust (or lack thereof)
3. Short Shifter
4. Suspension
5. Stereo
The car isn't OEM any longer in a LOT of ways, but the driver still is.
top 5????? hmmm.....
1. 1" body lift
2. extra airbag warning stickers just so I remember
3. 12" wheels
4. VTEC badge
