Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, heading subzero today, so just playing in the garage! Put MPRs "Car Talk" on the radio and . . . Installed these (Rennline pedals in black) today--my birthday present from my wife. Lots of good installation tips around here. . . Made it a very easy project. While I was at it, hardwired my Valentine 1(thanks to 1080iAddict for the guide--never would have figured out the wiring code to find the hotwire to the mirror dimmer otherwise] [No riad, no hotmelt involved . . .] And, the easiest of all . . . Who would have though Bumperplugs would have Orient Red in stock . . .

POST 2Original post

Happy B-day, great gift! Very nice mods, all looks great, hope your garage is heated, if not the pain was worth it! I gots to get a plug soon.

Actually, it has a 3.6L heater--the garage is attached and insulated, so runs about 30 degrees. If I drive the car to full temp and then put it in the garage, I get another 10-15 degrees for quite a while (not to mention less condensation in the oil filler tube)

POST 5Original post

I read the title and thought it was some was to turn back the hands of time to make me 20 again....Happy B-day and nice job

Funny you should say that--when I was considering my car, I told an older friend of mine about it. His quote was "I've had three 911s, and each one added 10 years to my life."

POST 7Original post

Its the little things in life that make a big difference, like bumper plugs. Happy Birthday!

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

PS: one tip for those who are drilling holes for new pedals. After using spring clamps to hold the brake and clutch pedals in final alignment, try a VIX bit to score the exact center of the holes. These bits were made for woodworking, specifically hinges, but are great for centering in general. Then remove the pedals and use a metalworking drill to finish the holes. Easy to find VIX bits, but here is one of many links. http://www.coastaltool.com/cgi-bin/S...htm?E+coastest
