Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I Spent about 6 K more getting all the fluids changed, a new Key from the Dealer, ouch, the steering rack was leaking a bit and replaced, and the Air Bag Indicator light came on right away, which readers of this forum know to be the seat belt receptacle and attending electrical harness, filters and that sort of stuff.
Leading evidence: 'Replace a new key' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace a new key' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

While in Washington, and planning to replace the tires anyway on my return to Kansas, I found an empty parking lot, turned off the Traction Control, and smoke up the country side doing spin outs, slides, a bit of drifting and all out spin outs, tires smoking, the engine screaming right at the top range, and seriously, you could have swept up tire crumbs when I went back to look.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just bought this car, 1999 996C2, in February this year, 51K miles, 20K bucks. My last Porsche was in 1979, the children came, college, and some of you know that story. The car has been a dream since, with not a problem. A few months ago my Granddaughter and I went to Washington state, which has curvy roads unlike Kansas, to see the family. Car performed flawlessly. And boy oh boy do these cars handle!
There is one exciting thing I have done with the car, once, which I have not yet read in this forum. I will probably never do something like that again, I felt the need to feel the car spin out to get in touch with the limits of traction.
Mikey, Welcome to Rennlist and COngrats on getting the 996.
BTW - Avatar pics don't count toward fulfilling the requirement for Newbies to post pics! So consider this next sentence as your "Newbie Initiation!"
Come on, Newbie, post the @#$%^&* pics!!
nice color, 99' short shift, 3 spoke and the floor mats are.....?..... COOL they look like cocoa style?
welcome...what part of Washington did you get it from
Welcome Mikey55, your Porsche is the same year and mileage as mine...love the ZB color. Also see a Ford panel truck, early 50s ? I've always wanted a 1950 Ford 150 pickup.
Nice pics welcome aboard.
Love to see a man with his priorities in order. Maintaining a house that size leaves plenty of $$ to spend on the important things. Like the car, the truck and the bike parked behind the house.

I got the car in Dallas Texas, there are a lot of them for sale, Auto Trader, down there. Yes, Coco Floor mats,
