Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

28 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

it doesnt look like the turbo front end and it doesnt have big reds or turbo twist, but then again i could be wrong...

POST 4Original post

Not a turbo and i don't think he's mental enuff to do the swap . As DHinkle mentioned, in addition to the items that were missing, it isnt a wide body (no intake vents on the rear quarters)

POST 5Original post

WAZZZZ the matter with that guy for bidding on that car???

POST 7Original post

Who would bid on a car with 4 pics and none of them very revealing. This is shady at best. Did you follow the link to their website? They are some sort of high end recovery outfit. Maybe the car is a repo

POST 8Original post

Enough said, look at those wheels, bumper, definitely not a turbo, I doubt if the car has a clean title, and I don't think it would be a swap either.

POST 9Original post

well, whazzzzzz won the auction and has to pay $66K for this questionable car. Depending on the initial purchase date, it may not even have any warranty left, let alone any chance of a CPO or even getting a PPI. Steve

POST 10Original post

Am I right in saying they didnt make a 996 TT cab until 2003 ?? But anyway, that car in no way looks like a TT.

POST 11Original post

I was just going to post this point. The car is clearly not a tt.

POST 12Original post

what a joke... i feel sorry for the winning bidder who just got scammed

POST 13Original post

The bidder is probably one of his buddies or a kid....

POST 14Original post

No you're wrong. No TT cabs until 2005 in the U.S.

POST 15Original post

This is what CarFax shows... no mention of Turbo... would CarFax show it as a Turbo? 2002 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA2/4 WP0CA29982S653187 CONVERTIBLE 3.6L H6 SFI DOHC / REAR WHEEL DRIVE Standard Equipment | Safety Options CARFAX Safety & Reliability Report

POST 16Original post

Now that's poetic justice, a scam car is won by a scam bidder! The guy has purchased one thing ( a phone) in 12 months, $10,000 bucks says this is some nigerian who'll send a certified check for 90k if you'll refund the difference. How does anyone take ebay seriously anymore?

POST 17Original post

There is no was that the buyer is associates with the seller because teh buyer ended the auction with a "buy it now" bid of $66K that resulted in seller fees in excess of $1,000.

POST 18Original post

yes. plus you would see that is it AWD and not rear wheel drive. Also the engine

POST 20Original post

wow... Loren where do you get Scouser's VIN decoder?

POST 21Original post

It is on my site at Scouser's VIN Decoder . You will need to register (free) to see/use it.

POST 24Original post

Thanks for clarifying. I was wondering.... what the hell is scouser anyways?

POST 25Original post

Those seats don't even match the interior. They look funky... I thought eBay motor listings are flat fees.

POST 27Original post

It is not a turbo. Plus I've had a ton of nonpaying bidders on Ebay.

POST 28Original post

The ahole revised the description after the bidding ended to '2002 911'. It was '04 on the TT cab, no?
