Since my time behind the wheel of a 997 was limited to a 15 minute test drive, I certainly didn't detect any significant changes between the two cars.

Aside from the cosmetice changes, many 997 drivers believe that its suspension is more tuned for the track while the 996 has a commuter bias.

Are there any cosmetic differences between the 996 and 997 C2 aside from the obvious front end?? The rear on the 997 C2 seems a little more pronounced or wider than the 996 C2 ?

Aside from the cosmetice changes, many 997 drivers believe that its suspension is more tuned for the track while the 996 has a commuter bias. Since my time behind the wheel of a 997 was limited to a 15 minute test drive, I certainly didn't detect any significant changes between the two cars. In terms of performance, it seems as though the 997 is a tad faster according to the car magazines. The 997S has posted some very impressive numbers in a variety of performance tests.
