Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

After tightening the hose clamps (tight enough but not crushing anything), the error code is gone after I reset it and drove around a little.

I tried to clean the MAF with the MAF cleaner then reset it but it keeps coming back.

Somebody used the rubber from the school chair's leg and it fitted the flap.

I replaced the MAF with the Bosch unit and reset it, but it still giving me the error.

I replaced some of the rubber elbows to the change over valve for the intake resonance just to be sure.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I got myself the iCarsoft POR 4 and when I ran diagnostics on my 2003 C4S, I got the P1109 error code. There is no CEL. I tried to clean the MAF with the MAF cleaner then reset it but it keeps coming back. I replaced the MAF with the Bosch unit and reset it, but it still giving me the error.
Should I worry about it as there is no CEL, the engine idle smooth.
Is the iCarsoft POR 4 giving me false code?
What other possible reason the engine developing the P1109 error code but no CEL
I am hoping that I don’t need to take to my indie shop for them to diagnose it.
Thanks
I did a quick search on the internet, it may relate to vacuum leak. Do a smoke test and clean your MAF.

Use only specialist sprays for MAF cleaning and don't spray too close.

I have cleaned the MAF with a MAF cleaner and I have even replaced the MAF. As far as checking for leak, it looks like I might need to take it to my indie shop.
Is it possible that this is due to that I have changed the standard air filter with the Green Filter?
I think I fixed it. It is due to a very small leak between the airbox and the throttle body. I use the silicon hose as I am using the GT3 throttle body. I thought I have tightened it enough, however, apparently not enough. After tightening the hose clamps (tight enough but not crushing anything), the error code is gone after I reset it and drove around a little. I hope it stays that way. I can’t believe such a small leak will cause that.
***UPDATE***
Turns out that I spoke too soon. The fault code came back. I finally decided to buy a smoke machine which is relatively cheap. After consulting with some experts and smoking a whole lot via the intake plenum, the oil filler and some vacuum tubes, I found out that I have a leak on the intake manifold adapter for the brake booster and also on the hinge for the resonance flap at the back plenum. I don't believe I have a leak on the front side of the engine (facing the front of the car), it is a bit hard to directly look at it as it is very tight, but I don't see any smoke once the 2 leaks were fixed. I replaced some of the rubber elbows to the change over valve for the intake resonance just to be sure. Once all the leaks are taken care, I was able so far to drive about 90 miles both hard driving in the canyon and just city driving without triggering the fault code again. I hope it stays away for good.
