Im interested in a set I have wear issues on the rear on my 996 running wide GT3 wheels, and after two alignments.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Finally done after months of testing and use. Here is the spiel...
"Racing is part of every Porsche owner's desire. Going fast is one thing, but giving your car the best handling possible is where you will excel as a driver. Agency Power Industries has developed these adjustable control arms for your Porsche 996 vehicle. These control arms fit on the rear of your car and help in adjusting camber and toe. In additional to being fully adjustable, these control arms offer increased rigidity from the replacement of the factory urethane bushing with spherical bearing ends. The 6061 CNC Machined arms are anodized in our beautiful brilliant blue color and notched for easy adjustment. Each spherical bearing has CNC machined stainless steel fittings for a secure and safe fit. Control arms are sold in sets of 4 and fit all the 98-04 Porsche 996 models. "

Front drop links are going to ANO tomorrow. Will have them ready next week. If I made you a sweet offer on the control arms to run would you do a write up and review? Let me know!
Picked up the end links last night. Taking them to Ano today. Will have them back tuesday. Then I can ship you a set to test. As far as a package for both of them, will PM you now.
Dan,
Can I buy just two? I bent two when my lower ball joint broke a couple of weeks ago and have been having a tough time replacing them. If not, I could take 4 and have a couple of spares. Also, do you have them ready to overnight?
Thanks,
Jim
Dan,
The ERP control arms showed up this morning. I have your number and will give you a call when I need parts in the future. If history holds true, that will be in the very near future.
Thanks,
Jim
actually, i probably need all 4.
a shop that installed my pss9's used an improper tool to remove the control arms and damaged the ends. the problem is that the rears are a solid piece while the front ends are replaceable so the cost of replacement is quite significant.
i didn't notice them till i took the car to a reputable porsche shop for an alignment and they showed me the ends that were ****ed. they're not too loose right now but because the rubber part is torn, stuff will get in there and it will just deteriorate over time and then i'd have to get ANOTHER alignment done so mite as well get them changed now do the alignment/corner balancing and get everything done properly.
Dead,
I'm pretty sure I have a couple of stock tie rods if you want them. They are off my 99. On the other hand you could wait a few weeks. I'm guessing that Dan will have some solid ones available before too long. Right now you can get the solid ones (monoballs) from TRG, Kelly Moss or Porsche Motorsports but they are stupid expensive. As an example, I paid more for the two upper control arms I needed than Dan is selling 4 for. I assume the racing stuff is a little higher quality but I don't know that.
Let me know.
Jim
Im interested in a set I have wear issues on the rear on my 996 running wide GT3 wheels, and after two alignments. Not enough camber adjustment for the width of my rear wheel.
