Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Set some goals' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Set some goals' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Finally, after 10 yrs in my wonderful 993, i am moving into a 996. A 2002 C4S.
After a long test drive, the only analogy is my 993 is as far from my first 72 911S and the C4S is from the 993.
Did I choose wisely???
The car is silver is with a black interior. So, the question I have for the board is; what suggestions do you have to personalize the car.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I look forward to posting more.

Welcome...
PICS PLEASE
or you could post some pictures
Looking forward to them, enjoy the car... (also some specs... miles, tranny, options, and some pics)
Congrats! The best "personalizing" is forming a "bond" with the car from a lot of driving (on the track helps too).
Set some goals to drive it as much as possible - and then the rest of the mods / customization will come naturally!
Ok, here are some photos.
good advice all. I intend on 2-3 days at the new NJ track and a weekend at Watkins Glen - a real favorite of mine.
Your opinions of stainless steel brake lines?
Thanks all.
more photos when i get possession of car.
(I am so excited, i couldnt sleep. Its 1AM here)

congrats surfer161... lots of Rennlist drives in the tristate. Hope to meet up on sometime.
Chao... good choice, Im still debating which way to go myself... aircooled vs keep going with the H2O
Ferdinand,
I am actually thinking about adding one to drive around in addition to the 996. There are more 964 C4s than C2s. I would be happy to share some of my findings so far. Look for PM
SS brake lines are a big waste of $$ IMHO. They tend to leak, unscrew and bind. ALL contemporary brake lines are metal braided & rubber coated and do NOT flex, bulge or are soft. Any "improvement" in brake feel from going to SS lines is the result of new fluid and bleed, not the lines. But if you like the bling, it's your $$, no ones going to fault you. OEM Porsche brake lines appear to be excellent quality, from what I can tell. SS lines belong on off-road vehicles or Dakar racers, where exterior physical damage is a real threat.
