Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi Everyone,
I've started looking for a 996 as a semi-daily driver and stumbled upon this car. It's advertised as an '01.
I'm trying to figure out if that is a factory aerokit (good) or aftermarket. The front and sides look like the factory pieces but I've never seen that rear wing configuration before.
Any thoughts?
Well if you want the full aerokit then you will need to install the rear "winglets" or GT flares on the rear bumper. Some people don't like it so maybe that is why it's missing on some cars. My car has them and I realy like to complete look in side view when the lines are flowing from front to rear. Anyway good luck with this car and let us know if you are going to buy it... Nice looking car. Cheers,
Is this car in Frederick? I happened to see it yesterday when I was helping a friend look for a Grand Cherokee for a daily. If it is, the dealership was not very knowledgeable, so the onus will be on you on the due diligence and definitely a PPI.
Well, I checked the car out briefly yesterday. I decided not to pursue it. The aerokit is just a little too flashy for me as a semi-daily driver.
Pete, yes, this is the car at a small independent dealer on South & Jefferson Streets in Frederick.
Exterior is decent, but the interior has quite a bit of wear for 40k miles. The truck and hood releases are both broken so I couldn't open the lids. It does have a 3-spoke wheel and the comfy manual sport seats. Wheels seemed OK.
Worse part: it has a salvage title as a theft recovery from NJ. :-(
Oh, and their asking price is $30k.
