Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

last time i was out i also ran with a 3/4 or more tank of fuel.
Leading evidence: 'Run with a 3/4 or more tank of fuel' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Run risk of breaking something expensive' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Those of you who've used the stock Pirelli PZero Assymetrico tires for this purpose..what do you recommend setting the pressure at?
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm going 2 be going 2 a drag event 2morro. Those of you who've used the stock Pirelli PZero Assymetrico tires for this purpose..what do you recommend setting the pressure at?
I'm using the stock 38-44 (front-rear). Maybe drop 2-4 PSI in the rear for better traction at launch?
Also: advice for good launch? (
)
rev to 3.5k and ease the clutch out? or 4k and controled wheelspin? (this is in a RWD)
I don't think you can easily accomplish "controlled wheelspin" in our cars in a straight line. You run the risk of breaking something expensive when you hook up.
If it were me, I'd probably try to go for the least amount of traction possible: super high pressure, no burnouts, etc. Even then, I probably wouldn't dump the clutch. Just me, though.
^ makes sense. i tried dumping the clutch last time i was out and got too much spin tho. i believe my tyres were at 32psi then and stock alignment.
the reason i was thinking lower pressur was to put more rubber 2 the ground (i'm runnning more camber than stock also).
paul: its at cayuga. season opener event for CSCS.
fill the great black ninja: i'm just going for free runs/test tune time. The only time i'll mangle my car is when i'm tryin 2 pass someone on a road course
.

last time i was out i also ran with a 3/4 or more tank of fuel. this time i'm taking a jerry can with me so i can put in only like 5 liters. also gonna suck out any uneccessary stuff (i.e. 20 lbs of windsheild fluid, maybe bolt off my passenger seat and have my friend keep an eye on it...depending on how obcessed i get at the track..but i get pretty compeditive about car stuff
).
i should borrow my friend's brush on traction compound that he uses for R/C cars. I mean..i'd need like a bucket of the stuff 2 coat the tires and it smells like the stuff indians get high off of..but i wonder if it works for real cars. lol jk
did 4 runs 2day:
1st) jsut eased the car to make sure everything was working right so 14.5. not a real run tho.
2) fastest of the day: 13.53 at 101.64MPH. tires were at 42PSI at the rear. i was still carrying more fuel than i would have prefered. this was with a controled clutch release from 5300RPM.
3) 13.75
4) 13.95
the last 2 were with reduced tire pressure 32PSI but harder launches so i got too much wheel spin.
on the way home tho..that was probably even more fun. a guy in a 93 RX7TT played some follow the leader..booking it upto 220KPH b4 he dove across an opening and left...i shut down at that point and didn't see him again..he was gonnnne.
