Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So, I have now taken delivery of my 996, or rather I have collected it from the chap who sold it to me! Anyway, even before I brought it, secretly in my mind I had a plan hatching, to use this car 25% as a track car, and 75% for road use. So, my questions are... 1. What can be done to make it faster? can it be chipped? are there any other good mods? 2. Is there any products available to make it a track toy? things like a cage/or roll over hoop to help my chances of surviving an accident on the track, but can be unbolted for the weeks between track events? Also, my 944 turbo had MO30 suspension, which had height adjustable spring platforms and adjustable damping,,, is this something that comes on some 996? or is there an aftermarket suspension package available?
