Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

A few years ago we had some good discussions about oil temp and pressure at the track. I was looking at some of my data from the past week at WG and thought some may find it interesting. This was a typical lap for me. around a 2:11. You can see the average low and high for each value. Also all the values at the time when oil pressure was the lowest. Also had the pleasure of meeting @CTGTC . Hope he gets smoking on startup resolved. Details Air Temp about 78 Lap 7 so about 17 minutes into the session 3.4 with 55k miles UAOS with Track drain (best purchase ever made!) Hartech Deep Sump Oil temp and pressure measured at the filter Motul v300 15w 50 12 liters Water Wetter Original Radiators and used center from a boxster s Original Water Pump No AC condensers fans or shrouds, air vented into the wheel wells.

POST 2Original post

Am I reading this correctly..? Never drops below 60psi oil pressure and see 86 psi max @260 oil temp..? Nice on track water temp, would not have guessed without fans it would be so low/stable, but suppose its how you drive it knowing there are no fans. Even though Motul can take the 260 oil temps, still don't like to see it that high as in bearings temps when doing its job, oil must be considerably higher temps than at the sump oil temp sender. Wonder if an external oil cooler could benefit your setup, or would it be a waste..?

POST 3Original post

I wonder if lateral g's on the the graph would show anything. Looks like pressure is following rpm as expected.

Max oil was 224, not sure where you saw 260. The range goes to 260, but the oil is the pink line. Average Green number, Low Blue Red High

POST 6Original post

Looks like the oil and water temps are nice and cool, and the oil pressure is very stable ....Good work !! It really helps to get good air-flow through the radiators.... by removing the fans and condensers, but not good for street/track cars...

Ok, thanks for explaining that.. Everything looks great. 12 liters Motul 50 and UAOS seem to do the m96 right....

Oh and thanks for the nice Plug...........I agree 100% , the UAOS System should have been on all M96/7 engines from the very beginning ... It took 2 decades to see where the Porsche Engineers missed the boat on that one...
