Rob, are you running performance friction on the street, or only on track...
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys,
i will need pretty soon some new pads since of all the DE,
i heard about pagid yellow on our 996,
whats your thought?
what is the best price out there?
for a 996 c4s 2003
thanks!
OG Racing is also a Rennlist sponsor and Pagid dealer, Mark (Carrera51) is also usually on here as well as the owner Bill. They are also both racers so when you discuss with them they have hands on experience which is nice.
FWIW, I had a great expereince with the Pagid Yellows on my 996. Good Bite, no fade, easy on the rotors and lasted a long time.
However my opinion of Pagid Yellows changed after installing Performance Friction. WOW the change
was almost as great as going from stock pads to Pagids. The PF's have amazing initial bite, as you get faster you will appreciate a more agressive stopping power, unaware of your track expereince?.
I loved my Pagid Yellows...Great value as well..
Good luck
Rob, are you running performance friction on the street, or only on track... ?
i dont mind changing pads when i go to my DE but i would prefer not..
well, i go to my local track every tuesday for 2-3 runs of 20min, and once a month for a big DE event...
i was green with instructor and turned green solo yesterday...
I have 2 sets of pads, Performance Friction for the track and some street use if im too lazy to change.
The pagid yellows lasted almost 2 years on both track and street. As you are just becoming solo, i would recommend going with the Pagids yellows first before getting to a more aggressive pad.
what kind of tires are you using on the track, as the tires suspension and pads all work somewhat together.
r
+1 for PFC - Sweet, no fade. Too lazy to change them in the summertime.
...squeakey on the street, but not too terrible; knowing I'll be back at the track soon.
I swap to OEM for the Winter. None of the track pads work well in the cold.
With PFC (or Pagid) on street for mountain drives or long hwy - be aware that until they heat up, they don't stop quite as well (1-3 car lengths - depending on outside temp). For example, an off-ramp after a evening drive can give you a little scare if you're not ready for it as you approach a stop sign or another car. A light press on the pedal is enough friction to get them warmed up though.
