Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

They will also service RV's on the package (used it once for a tire changed on an auto carrier during one of my moves).

Surprisingly I can't find anything that is anywhere close to a complete set: pliers, socket, little hammer.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I am looking for a toolbox to put in my trunk. trying to find something as complete as possible and also made out of quality tools.
Surprisingly I can't find anything that is anywhere close to a complete set: pliers, socket, little hammer. Most set are always missing something
I think I need:
- pliers (small + large )
- screwdriver handle
- screwdriver bits: torx, philips, flat
- flat wrenches
- socket handle + sockets (overkill but nice)
- little hammer
- blade knife
- roll of tape
- some fuses
- ? feel free to suggest more
Any thought and links to where I can spend my money ? I'd be ready to pay $1000 on a complete set if only there was one.
I can't believe that nobody came up with something compact but still complete.
! Important, I want all this to fit in one box, as organized as possible.
I was thinking buying all bit independently and put it all in a nice Pelican case, but cutting the foam is a tedious job.
If you are willing to spend that much just find your local Snap-On dealer arrange to meet him & his truck & let him come up with the best solution for you. Snap=On is the best quality tool & there is a lot of service built -in to the price as well as financing fee which you can avoid by paying cash.
Some time the toolbox is in the driverseat....depends how deep I dig into the "go" pedal.
I have a compact craftsman set in passanger door cubby. I really like ferds setup!!
I checked AAA site but the basic only offer 3 miles towing... I assume I would need at least the premium membership which offer 100 miles towing so I can bring the car to a dealer.
I have to admit towing is so expensive that might be worth it but aside of the towing I don't really see the use. I am really not into using card benefits, I never know which offer what and I don't intend to spend time looking into it.
The need for a flatbed is rare but you will thank your lucky stars when the unthinkable happens. They will give you a jump or give you gas if you run out. They also offer travel deals and maps and all that stuff but its a mute point with all the travel sites these days. I like the insurance......pull the card out make a call and wait for the truck.
I went to Walmart and bought a zippered tool bag and tossed mostly Stanley branded screw drivers, wrenches, a socket set, allen sockets, pliers (needle nose, regular), adjustable wrench, vice grips, hose clamps, a breaker bar for lugs, etc. I added a tork wrench for lugs and socket driver from Sears so I could run everything from a cordless drill from depot. Can't imagine I have a liitle over $100 and I feel like I can do everything (electrically and cordless). Certainly not Snap-on or even Craftsmen quality but way good enough for me.
I don't like the warning screen that the laptop is on battery power so the durametric software might give wrong readings or something like screen it gives. I have to put a little power inverter in the car I guess.
I have the AAA Premium RV package which allows for one 200 mile tow and one 100 mile tow for my motorcycles and up to 100 miles on remaining tows. They will also service RV's on the package (used it once for a tire changed on an auto carrier during one of my moves). You may not need all of this, but the Premier package does offer the 200 mile tow.
GAWD!!! I could have gone my entire life without envisioning that scene!
My "mind's eye" is frantically attempting to erase that vision from it's memory banks.
*Just do what Marc does, load 20 or 30 Franklin wrenches in the cubby under the armrest. If you smooth them out they fit with room for a couple of Grants that can be used for smaller repairs. If you think you will need more leverage for larger roadside repairs put a couple of Chases in also.
*All USD make required adjustments for other currencies.
AAA Premium and a phone. Oh, and a Torque wrench and breaker bar.
I've found more use for having the spare than having a toolbox.
Premium AAA is worth every single penny in the very first long tow you need.
