Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

But what sort of scams are people running with cars these days.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Clean carfax, low miles, blk on blk.
Why couldn't this car have been available when I was looking a month ago?
Sure would be nice to have a 2005 with 33K miles in place of my 2001 with 53K for close to the same price!
Quick, someone find the problem with this before I lose my lunch....
Don't beat yourself up over it, there's always a better deal if you're willing to wait. Trouble is, w/that attitude you'd never buy one waiting for that "deal"! At that price I expect that car will sell in under a week, if there really is nothing wrong w/it.
Bloody hell, that's surely really cheap, even for the American market!
FYI, my 2003 C4 cab cost $50k American dollars!!

A quick Edmunds check finds that car priced about $5k less than trade-in and about $10k below retail. While those numbers are not absolute, they give a good general sense of value.
So... maybe a scam. Or maybe just someone who needs out fast. You gotta wonder why he doesn't just take it to the dealer.
I'm sure it has to be too good to be true considering the price is $16K under kbb private party value. But what sort of scams are people running with cars these days. I have no concept of what the scam would involve.

ZING, you now live in Virginia and like pork rinds from the kwiki mart @ $176.35 a pop
I saw a white on blue 3.6 litre 997 without chrono but with a six speed advertised in Seattle for $35K yesterday. I though that was a pretty good deal.It had about 60K miles on it.
With that data point, $25K for an automatic isn't totally out of line. Maybe it's been hit. Seriously though, would you drive a normal 997 with a tip?
just ask yourself, why would a guy bother selling himself when he can give it to any dealer and get his money quick and easy. Anytime I see cars selling for less than trade-in value... it smell fishy to me.
Even though I still find myself looking at the price tag each time I pass by a 996 for sale
The car hunting might be as much fun as the driving after all
