I don't remember if Carrera Mike used OEM or replica for his Aerokit II wing.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well, I have been searching for a while for a used Aerokit II or GT3 front bumper and having missed out on a couple of them and the ones I do find the seller wont ship so I am just going to bite the bullet and purchase a new one. A local dealer will price match Sunset so I'm sold.
But the rear wing is just way out of my budget, does anyone have any experience with the MASHAW replica? Looks like a nice part?
OR any other good quality replica? Usually I just go with factory but I am open on the wing.
Unfortunately working on a budget (In the process of updating my Kitchen/Bathroom.... etc) darn wife!
Thanks!
Marc,
I don't remember if Carrera Mike used OEM or replica for his Aerokit II wing. Of course Ben always vouched for MASHAW. The 993 board likes MASHAW products. You may want to do a search there for feedbacks.
Aerokit II would look great! Keep us posted.
I'm in exactly the same position with the MKI kit. I'm leaning towards holding off for the factory part but would be interested to hear other people's experience.
I think suncoast porsche has a replica for around $1695 or so...seemed pretty resonable to me...
I have never worked with them but have read decent reviews:

Not sure if your interested but I just spoke to Mike Shaw at MASHAW parts. He makes Aerokit II side skirts for $550 I think he said
Im actually thinking about getting them myself but Im not sure how that would look witht he OEM Aero cup I bumper and taco wing. I think the lines on the aero II rocker shirts mught be too aggressive looking for the OEM bumper
anyone have pix of this set up?
Dominick,
I probably will go factory on the side skirts, they are only around 695 or so and I'm sure I can sell my factory Mark I skirts and recoup some cash. I spoke to Mike as well and I am going to order the rear wing tomorrow.
Well, thats it... I tried to save some Money and find some good used parts with no luck..I'm out of Patience!
Today I am pulling the trigger on ordering the Aerokit II -- Yay!
What do you guys think my factory Mark I side skirts are worth after I pull em? few scratches but excellent shape. Funny thing is I like the shape of the Mark I's even better but I think they would look odd with the Mark II kit otherwise I would juet keep em on.
Yeah, Just got back from my local Porsche dealer who were nice enough to match Suncoasts pricing
Should have my parts next week. Now to find a good bodyshop!
Marc,
Just so you know, I had a very good experience buying a Mk I taco wing from MaShaw. He was super easy to work with, the price was great, and the best part was that although the wing did need some prep (all fiberglass parts need some to get rid of pinholes, etc...), my shop said that it was one of the better replica wings they had seen. Good luck!
when removing the mk1 sideskirt, if you have the newer ones... they are held on with 3m double sided tape and brackets. The 3m tape can be replaced as a kit from Porsche.

Im using Madison Ave coach works up in Dumont NJ
They were recommended to me by my buddy. He was very happy with some work they did for him on his DB7.
relatively easy install - tape and bolt into place. Step by step instructions are available on Renntech if you're adventurous and have a friend to help. Personally, I was afraid of misaligning them, so spent $150 to have the dealer do that bit, even though I did the bumper myself.
