Really just dreaming right now and testing the waters.

I would obviously use the MKII aero front bumper due to the headlights but what about the MKI skirts and taco wing?

One idea was to powdercoat them the darker grey they use on the 997/Cayman wheels and put them on my cab.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Would you do it to a MKII 996? I would obviously use the MKII aero front bumper due to the headlights but what about the MKI skirts and taco wing? Is this Porsche "blasphemy"?
Can someone photoshop this?
Cory,
I think with the right color the MKII aero kit looks great. I was never all that into it until I saw this white one. Now I am saving up for a white 996 GT3.

Sexy! I do love the MKII but I think the MKI is a little more fitting for the car's curves.
Any pics Ray? I want to see the headlights, skirts, and the front corner of the wing in one shot to judge the looks. In my head, it looks good to me.
To tame my Taco down, I had to put 295's in back and then it looked perfect. Too narrow of tire makes it look too big.
Your my inspiration of this thread, it popped in my head after reading yours.
Love it! Thanks Ray.
Aw, come on RR, Jim's race car looked friggin sweet!
My '87 has 964 bumpers, 94 3.8 964 Turbo wheels, and a 993 TT tail.
I guess older 911's were viewed as ok to share different bits from different years.
Really just dreaming right now and testing the waters. I am trying to see how people would perceive it that know 996's well. I miss my MKI aero though
until I hit the boost in the '87
Me too! Carne guisada, carne asada, bean/cheese/bacon, and picadillo. Oh wait, the wing, sorry. hehe
Oh party pooper.
Seriously Cory, I think the MKI kit looks great on the 02+ cars. I saw my old race car last weekend and was reminded how beautiful that car was. I wish I had it back.
Beautiful indeed. Now I know from your car I would seriously consider doing it. I wonder if you have the only one out there? Maybe some others but I have not seen any on Rennlist.
MKI. I actually put the aero kit on before converting it to a 3.6L X51. Talk about driving the purists nuts!
BTW, I still have the wheels. I keep thinking I'll find something to do with them.
One idea was to powdercoat them the darker grey they use on the 997/Cayman wheels and put them on my cab. I'd need some seriously long wheel bolds and the center hole is made for center lock wheels so normal center caps don't work.
