Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Once disconnected, I put a small plastic bag and rubber band on the open flex line to prevent dirt getting introduced in the sys.

After the tape cured(overnight) I tightened the screws just enough to hold the skirt.

Also, for the rear, I did not have to disconnect the anti-sway bar from it's mounting.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well i think we well be seeing alot of these posts , over the weekend, just wanted to share , Installed Alum E brake , and Alum/Carbon Shifter, i must say these were easy, on a scale 1 - 10 i give it a 3...just because its a good number
I know I know the car is a pig sty...its getting detailed in the Morning, I have some pics if any ones needs info on how do do theses.
Alum Pedals is for Sundays mods....Tomorow will be H&R Spring and Bilstien Shock Day!. With alll these parts getting installed, I can Finaly have my office back
Kilrgt: I'd be interested in your thoughts on how difficult the H&Rs and Bilsteins are to install. I'm contemplating doing the same. Did you buy your set locally?
Looks sweet! My bumperplugs just went on with the Renntech sticker on the glass and valve stem caps......Tomorrow will be my arctic center console and Carbon shifter. Photos tomorrow.
What a fun weekend!
Truth is I havent done this yet. Do i think it will be hard....NO its pretty strait forward, i have done springs and shocks befor this and i cannot forsee any issues. One thing for 100% sure is , i will be taking the car to my local P-car dealer to have it aligned properly. I dont think it should take more the 4 hours to do, i was going to do this today and i have decided to wait untill March, It was snowing today so i'll wait and do the GHL mufflers at the same time.I bought the parts stateside.......Good thing on waiting I will install the GT3 Sway bars, I am waiting on these from Germany.......Anyone know where i can get the Links??
Thanks
Kilrgt: Thanks! If you don't mind my asking, which US vendor did you go with for the shocks and springs? If you need an extra set of hands on your install, let me know--I'm in T.O. and would love to watch/assist.
Hey, sorry about last night. I've had a relative in and out of the hospital the last month and it's getting worse for him. Why don't we try to target next Saturday morning for the suspension install at Andy's new place? By the way, I've got some amazing pictures of my car with winter wheels/tires on ice up north and around town.
Yea that would be nice, know anyone who has one kicking around they wouldnt mind selling it to me, I guess I'll call the Parts Department at P-car on Monday
Sweet shifter!! How does it feel in the hand? I had the leather one like that which I installed in my 993, and it felt better than the stock. Very nice Paul.
Here's some pictures/update on my weekend project..Finished install on Bilstein and H&R Springs, Aero II side skirts and Orciari front spoiler extention. Just need to purge the brake fluid.

Honestly Mike, It feels awsome, I was just telling my friend last night, its the best feel good mod i could have done, I saw your pics of the weekend looks great so far, How hard was the dise skirts??
Paul
THe side skirts were the easiest of all the mods I did this weekend. Wipe the lower body of the car, where the tape is gonna have contact with thinner to ensure adhesion. My car has a thick coat of wax, so I had to use something strong like thinner. I had to make sure that about 1 inch wide line is stripped of wax. Also, I didn't tighten the screws while the adhesive tape is curing overnight so they(screws, if tight) don't pull the upper seam of the skirt off the car body. After the tape cured(overnight) I tightened the screws just enough to hold the skirt. Not all the way so there's room for flexibility and allow expansion.
I like your dvd/navigation sys!
Paul, 1 more thing, I'm not sure if you're having a shop do your removal and replacement of suspension, but I mostly followed Kevin M's r/r (here's the link
https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...H%26R+bilstein
)
BUT
for me, not disconnecting the front brake lines(like Kevin M's pictures shows)
was impossible to swing the strut out of the fender
.
The B nut I loosened is the one right by the bottom of the strut mount. Picture attached/circled in black. It's real tight, just make sure you counter act with a wrench on the top side of the bracket. Once disconnected, I put a small plastic bag and rubber band on the open flex line to prevent dirt getting introduced in the sys. Once bagged, just let it hang down, because if you raise it, the fluid is ognna run down the fender wall. Make sure you rinse all brake fluid asap that gets onto the paint.
Also, for the rear, I did not have to disconnect the anti-sway bar from it's mounting. Just the links.
One tip from my tech, when you loosen the main top strut nut to release the spring with impact wrench, lay it down on the floor and point it away from you. Mine didn't kick much, but just to be on the safe side.
Good Luck..
I've never had to disconnect the brake lines for suspension install. The easiest way to handle the front is to disconnect that lower ball joint so that you'll get a ton more movement and be able to move things around enough to remove the spring and shock with no fear of hitting the top of the fender.
Hey Alon , your going to be there anyways , so I'll just do what you say when we are there,I should call you we can come up with a plan of when, but hey it doesnt matter to me, its all about whats best for you...
It's not that I'll be there anyway. I suggest that you call Andy and ask him for the hoist space and we'll begin at 8:00 sharp. He shouldn't be busy this time of year so we should be fine. By the way, here is a picture of my 40th Jahre leather steering wheel with the perforated leather side sections. If you're going to buy a leather airbag, you might as well do everything
