Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I don't know if it is because of the new exhaust or the temperature or what but lately i've noticed alot of liquid/oil/gunk coming out of my exhaust at start up and as the car is warming up. Is this normal? My garage floor is tainted with oil/water. Am I not running too rich? Is the exhaust not doing its thing? I don't know.. Need help.. Thanks peter

POST 2Original post

Make sure that you take the car for a good walk every night before she goes to sleep otherwise it's hard on her bladder. This is no different than with dogs or older human relatives I wouldn't worry too much if the car is running well and isn't belching a ton of smoke behind you when driving. It is most likely condensation building up in various systems after being driven then cooling down in winter.

POST 3Original post

It has been very humid in DC and when you drive your car and park it in your unheated garage, lots of moisture is going to be attracted to the hot areas of the car....namely the exhaust system. When you start the car, some water will blow out (or drip out) the tailpipes and as the pipes get hot, some steam may be seen until it all evaporates. There is always some carbon in the pipes and the water that drips out may appear to be oily. Keep an eye on oil level, as it will tell you if you hare consuming oil, but it sounds like water to me.

POST 4Original post

My car gets like that when the weather gets really humid and sticky around here.
