Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I removed the sub to change the suspension and broke off one of the stupid tabs on the bezel that holds it in place.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I need a replacement "Bose" bezel from the rear subwoofer in a coupe. You have to remove the plastic bezel from the subwoofer to get to the screw to take out the sub. I removed the sub to change the suspension and broke off one of the stupid tabs on the bezel that holds it in place. Now whenever I drop the back seats the damn thing falls out. Any idea where to get one? (other than stealer). Anyone have one lying around from a sub they discarded? Thanks Part number is: 996 645 568 00 color (black) is A10 PIC:

Crazy - try a Porsche dismantler. Not too many people have said good things about LA Dismantlers, but even they couldn't screw you too badly. You coould also try German Auto Dismantlers http://www.germanautodismantlers.com/ . Good luck!

Oh, that's not too bad. I'll probably just pick one up there. Thanks, AA

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So my car finally ended up at the dealer to have some oil leaks checked. I asked them to get me the new bezel. THEY ARE CHARGING ME $25 FOR THE DAMN THING! I told them to take it back. I'm not going to pay a 400% mark up!

POST 6Original post

There are some great plastic glues out there if you have the tab that broke off. The best for this application would be super glue with a fine plastic filler - comes as a set.

That part has been replaced with a newer part (from the 997) that is more expensive - still even $9.02 is too high. Try contacting Sunset Imports in Oregon they likely have a much lower price.
