Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Leading evidence: 'Check back' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check back' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've been here for about 6 months now, but don't guess I really ever posted photos of my 2000 C2. Got it last Oct. for $29,000. It's got 60,000 miles and not many options. I just added a carbon shift **** and may do some more things soon.
Thanks for all the help so far, it's been invaluable. I look forward to being here for a long time.
Regards,
Orrin T.
An absolutely beautiful example of 2000 c2. I got my 2000 c2 last October as well
and one of things I'll never get used to but appreciate, is when in casual conversation about cars, someone will ask, "What car do you drive?", I respond a 911. The room goes silent. I really didn't expect the attention part of Porsche ownership or should I say, membership. Anyway, lovely C2.
I agree bluescast. There is something magical about being able to say those words......nine eleven. It never gets old. It's funny because I've had some people say, "what kind of porsche is that?" When I respond with 911, they know instantly what that is even though they weren't able to identify it themselves. Funny how a 9 year old car can have that effect on people.
Interior pic. I have yet to detail the interior. I think I am "saving" it because once it's done there won't be anything left to do. I've done the exterior with clay, etc already. Lack of sunshine after work has made me wait on the int.
Orrin, thanks for sharing the pics. Once you get the interior detailed then the real fun begins.... you get to start modding the car. Check back with me when you are ready to do some mods. I have a nice list of items to suggest.
Yes, it's funny how most people think of Porsche is unattainable.
The other day someone asked "whose Porsche were you driving?"
wtf, ha.
Oh, car looks great btw, the tan interior is nice with the black, well done.
i don't like tan interiors or any interior other than black/charcoal gray cuz of the dirt it readily shows. and it's just too bright inside. i like stark, black, boring in my interiors.
Orrin, congratulations and welcome aboard. Your car looks great, especially the interior. I have never seen that shade of tan on a Porsche before. The CF shifter looks good. The mod bug is contagious...if you hang around here, there will be many more to come.
Orrin,
You have many leather options in that interior.
Some are:
leather center stack surround
leather speaker grills on dash
leather horizontal moulding strips
leather emergency flasher surround
leather microphone cover
leather lower center console
leather handbrake
steering wheel in special leather
Congrats on a beautiful 996!
