Wheelenhancement was mounting a set of rs97 monolite's 19" for a c4s while i was there that day.....They are the best looking rims I have ever seen on a 996 by far...If you get a set I want pics posted...

They are one of nicest wheels made. Made by the same foundry that Champion uses, correct? Too bad they are not available in 18's. . . IMHO 18's provide plenty of bling and I get to stay with Porsche N spec tires.

Alan, These are a one piece forged wheel made by Champion, or by the foundry in Japan they use, correct? I didn't think that Kinesis had facilities to make one piece forged wheels, only forged centers, which are mated to spun rim halves. Also, any plans in 18" sizing? Thanks.

I've heard the rs97 monolite by champion (one piece) will be out in 18's in Oct...per wheelenhancement.. Maybe these will too! Robert

Robert, I got a call from the guys at Champion last week. Said the 18's will be available in 4 weeks. I'm jonesing for a set! They are sooo hot mounted up. I had the most conservative M5 owner (a buddy of mine) point out the 97's on a C4S to me. He said 'these are beautiful wheels'. He said this w/o any prompting. Coming from this fella, it means a lot to me about their widespread appeal, not just to car freaks. But, if these Kinesis are coming out in 18's. . . sheeittt.

I went with the carerra 5 spoke lightweights to rid myself of 19"s that were heavy and noisy! I am much happier with the new lighter wheels and tires! I will get the rs 97 mono's in a couple years when I get a steal on a used 997s that some rich guy trades in for a new 997 turbo! Robert
