This is not a probability of success.

Not really a wide body option there were 7.5 and 8.0 wide fronts but rears for the 996 cars were 10x18s, I have seen the wheels on a couple C4S cars but owners used spacers to fill out the wheel wells.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can anyone identify if these wheels are legit in quality and if there is an oem equivalent? I love the look and Id pay up for oem if these have a bad rep. https://wheelplususa.com/products/po...42410811588745

POST 2Original post

Look like replicas of the 2-piece speedline wheels from the 964 RS(?) era. Rear 9.5" at 52mm inset is definitely not OEM equivalent for 996 NB, perhaps for 986.

Hi Rich, love these wheels was there a BBS factory option for the wide body?

Yeah...no self respecting wheel company would offer these tires. They wheels might be ok but I'd be cautious about multi-piece wheels from a not well known company. They might be on the heavier side as well.

POST 10Original post

Somebody posted this a while back, I found it to be very informative and educational: Wassergekuhlt guide to Porsche 996 Wheels

POST 11Original post

You also may want to look at wheel options for 997. Similar offsets and a few more choices. https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265756 I had a "German" page that listed a lot of wheels, different brands, weights, offsets, etc. Wheels fit 996/997, both narrow & wide body cars. I can't find it, maybe someone else will post where it is? YMMV

I found 2 places, the 944 one is better, but not complete. https://www.944racing.de/wheelweights.php https://partworks.de/Data-Library/Rim-data Example: I have 18" Carrera III wheels on C4S, 8" & 11", clearly marked in raised letters "BBS" on backside. Yeah, for 997, but they fit 996. They are not listed on 944 page, sort of like the 19" ones, but omitted. YMMV
