Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My sunroof switch is in need of replacement. Went shopping for the part and noticed the price difference between .1 and .2 is insane .1 is over double the price I assume one difference is matte vs gloss plastic but what else? Will the .2 work in my 1999?

Suncoast: https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...YCZ_s7patJDjiO Pelican: .1 https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...=c&SVSVSI=3190 .2 https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...wE&ByPassCat=Y I'm finding the same price difference across most vendors.

POST 5Original post

Is it the button covers that are bad or the internals? If the switches were the same otherwise, swap the caps.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think the issue is with the switch itself. The button is very loose in the housing, and it seems to be causing intermittent operation of the sunroof. The roof will occasionally tilt or move forward/backward on its own.

POST 7Original post

If the switch is pushing in you maybe have to glue it in place. Remove the dome light trim and see if the switch works. If not, I have some from .1 part outs.
