Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Somewhat recently I came across a crazy deal on a custom fabricated x-pipe with cats that was used on a track only 996 and replaced the crossover cats with it.

I run their 200 cell cats on my .1 and the build quality and sound are good.

I dont wanna keep replacing with 25yo used mufflers.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anyone have any experience with the Top Gear Valved exhaust?
I have a Slakker built Hartech 3.9L running cat bypass pipes into stock OEM mufflers. Ive now blown out my second muffler. I dont wanna keep replacing with 25yo used mufflers. Im sure the increased displacement and the cat bypass pipes put a lot of stress on the already old mufflers.
Was looking at the Top Gear because of the Valved option. With ultimate plans to connect it to the OEM dash switch.
Any thoughts and/or experiences with the Top Gear Valved Mufflers or connecting to the OEM switch would be helpful. Thanks!

I run their 200 cell cats on my .1 and the build quality and sound are good. I've heard mixed reviews about them but my experience has been positive so far and it's been a year now.
I've had those valved mufflers for a few years now and they have been great - no issues. I initially had them with stock cats and then upgraded to their 200 cel crossover ones. I really liked the sound with the valves closed. It was aggressive and the right amount of volume. With valves open, things got pretty loud and sounded as if the exhaust bypassed the mufflers. It was ok but I didn't often use that mode. Here's what things looked like installed + sound.

Somewhat recently I came across a crazy deal on a custom fabricated x-pipe with cats that was used on a track only 996 and replaced the crossover cats with it. The exhaust actually got a bit quieter but I really prefer the sound now. It lost some of the low end growl but gained a higher pitched smoother sound, which I prefer. All in all their stuff seems to be well made and has not given me any issues. The wireless controller for the valves is the same thing that many other manufacturers use. You should definitely wire in a button like I did. See my build thread.

Another +1 for the Top Gear valved exhaust here. I've been running it for ~3 years and no issues. I have it wired to the OEM switch with a non-OEM latching relay (so the open/closed state is remembered between starts)
Thanks so much! Where can I find your build thread on the OEM button? Def sounds mean when its opened! My car does double duty and I need it quiet enough for date night but wanna open it at the track or autocross. Thanks again
