Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I had mine redone by a good wheel shop, I assume they used the same screws.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Porsche doesn't have em in their parts catalogue, BBS America won't sell them to me (they'll only sell me the ones for the race wheels and i'm not sure if they are the same size), and I'm missing one bolt (see pic). I know I can't be the only one whose lost one, does anyone have any ideas that don't involve buying another wheel? Thanks in advance.

POST 3Original post

Not clear, are you missing a lug bolt or one of the decorative bolts around the rim?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the bolts around the rim. they're not decorative. they are 2 piece wheels from my understanding and the bolts are there to hold the two pieces together.

POST 5Original post

can you remove one from another location and take that to a good nuts and bolt house? I am sure they are just a standard SS Torx head metric bolt with some length.... I bet the wheels mfg's buy them by the boxcar load...... in my area there are several good nut houses I spend time at One is called Fasnall the other is Tacoma screw (spelling on the first might be off) GL

POST 6Original post

I was able to buy center caps for my Kinesis wheels from Wheel Enhancement for a very reasonable price. I would bet they have the bolts that you need.

Actually, those bolts are titanium and cannot (or should not) be reused once removed.

POST 8Original post

OK - butr the concept is the same, and you just have to buy 2 of them (get 3 so you have a spare )

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

how do people refinish the wheels then? Especially if BBS won't sell them? Such a lovely set of wheels that I regret buying as a result of parts procurement issues. Out of the country at the moment, havn't had time 2 call wheel enhancement yet.

I would contact Loren on Renntech. He knows where to find almost everything for these cars. Many folks have refinished these wheels.

Probably thinking of Fastenal, but I wouldn't just wander in somewhere and buy something that looks close.

POST 12Original post

POST 13Original post

Have you tried reaching out to a Porsche dealer directly? I've need a few odd ball parts over the years, and Suncoast has been able to track almost everything down.

POST 15Original post

I think FVD sells the bolts. I had a set of BBS RSGTs refinished and reused the bolts; they were stainless, not Titanium.
