Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

35 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

For those of you that took an interest in Phil's 04 C4S with 3490 miles. It's in the garage, under the cover and on the charger. Phil can rest easy. After having the car arrive four weeks ago, I have yet to drive it. I have put zero miles on her. I am hoping to be off the crutches November 27th. The odd thing is that Ive already started thinking of what to get next. Hugh

POST 3Original post

well hugh, congrats on a great car. i live in michigan as well, and i'd really like to see phil's (now your) C4S when you let it out to see the light of day. so PM me when you get a chance. hope you heal fast.

POST 4Original post

Hugh, We want to see AT LEAST 1000 miles put on her in the first week you are off those crutches! Enjoy! You bought an awesome car!

POST 5Original post

Get off those crutches soon and get ready for a marathon ride...otherwise Phil's 'old' Porsche will never get use to a human touch again, and may decide not to ever cooperate with you in the future.GL

POST 6Original post

You should install a dyno in your garage under your P-car so it can be started and driven on rollers. Even if it never sees the light of day again, the motor will want to run.

POST 8Original post

Hey, doesn't he still have to post pics as a newbie with new 996? Welcome Hugh! Here's to your speedy recovery.

POST 9Original post

Oh jeeze now there are 2 "phils" (a "phil" is he who never drives the car) on Rennlist and they each owned the same car!!! Damn, this illness is contagious!! Hugh, seriously, I hope the healing process continues and you can drive her hard! She will love you for it, trust me!

What the hell is up with that car? It's like a Narcoleptic Christine.

+100. It's either cursed or very very unlucky. I think that we need some garage photos of the car in lieu of driving photos.

POST 12Original post

I think the car needs all of us to give it a good drive - if we all drive a few 100 miles and plan it out I bet we can get it all the way around the country before he recovers !! I will cover Spokane to Seattle, then drop off in Portland (that is about 500 miles) who is brining it to Spokane, and who will take it south from Portland

By November 27th, you should have around 3 feet of snow on the ground, so it has to wait until Spring to be driven. Teach your wife to drive it, or have your father in law drive it so it doesn't die. Hugh, your last statement concerns me. Does this mean I have to buy the car back? You're not seriously thinking about getting rid of it are you? Wayne or Tim, if that's the case, I'll bet you could get a great price on it from Hugh!!

I've got my eyes on a Triumph Bonneville.

POST 17Original post

OOOOOWWWWWW that will look nice in the garage

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm not selling anytime soon. Phil, My wife does not need to learn how to drive the car. She learned on her Dad's dailey driver, a 1982 911SC. If it does not rain I might have her fire it up this weekend. Also, you are right about the smow though. I will probably not drive it until spring.

POST 19Original post

Quotes source post: 6932896

That poor car is NEVER going to be driven!

POST 20Original post

SMOW? is that some sort of new "global warming" weather

POST 22Original post

Quotes source post: 6933162

Sums it up pretty well. No car deserves this kind of treatment. If I'd know that the cars was heading towards another Phil clone I would have staged an intervention. Phil - you should have added a "drive-me" clause into the contract of sale.

Hmmm.... the excuse is not good enough... I busted my knee about 15 years ago and ended up clutching with my right foot...ALTHOUGH, admittedly, it was only a 4 minute drive to work with no hills...

POST 24Original post

What a waste of money! Why not just donate some to charity? I'm serious.

POST 25Original post

Quotes source post: 6933411

I was just imagining you drive (accelerating, breaking, clutching) with a single foot!!

POST 26Original post

Quotes source post: 6933497

Actually, what's even more impressive is that I still "heel-toe'd".... not!

snowtires?! Bridgestone has been kind enough to come out with Blizzaks in 275/30/18. Can't wait till snow hits the ground now and see what a C4S can do!

POST 28Original post

Quotes source post: 6933437

Now, now. Lighten up. I give plenty to charity. Hugh will drive it when he's better. There are lots of us who don't drive our special cars in the snow (or rain for that matter). Each to his own. You want to drive yours, go to it.

If my memory serves me, Jennifer Aniston got driven pretty regularly.

[QUOTE=Phil G.;6934196]........ There are lots of us who don't drive our special cars in the snow (or rain, or sunshine, or moonlight, or when it's cloudy for that matter)............ Phil, I fixed it for you!

POST 31Original post

Quotes source post: 6934201

As long as we're off topic here, as hot as Jennifer Aniston is, she seems to get dumped an awful lot. She must suck in bed (or not, which could be the problem with pun intended). Or she must be one of those real clingy needy type.

POST 32Original post

Drive it to the mailbox Monday through Friday. It will be better off.

POST 33Original post

Quotes source post: 6934803

No she's probably awesome in bed. Insecure girls rule in the sack, but you get tired of their whining ****. No matter how hot some chick is, some dude is tired of banging her and listening to her crap.

POST 34Original post

I'd keep banging...but with my fingers in my ears.

POST 35Original post

Quotes source post: 6935018

I think this is likely to be the case with her. Her hotness would only last for about 10 mins after she starts whining.
