I installed a custom lip on one of my previous toys.

I received my new front splitter Friday (I love toys before the weekend). However, it looks a little different than the ones we have been talking about. Got pics yet of the install?? Fill me in on the details.

did you order the Porsche OEM or cup? The cup will be slightly larger and run wide along the side of the front bumper. If you are looking for the stock GT3 front look, the splitter runs about $400.
OEM GT3 Cup (MY 1999 to 2001). The splitter fits directly on my OEM GT3 (MK I) front bumper. However, it looks a little different to the ones we have been talking about on the list. Just confirming.

Online now. What part number is your lip? I ordered the following MK2 lip 996 505 986 92 01C ($200 through Sunset) not the MK1 lip that is 996 505 986 00 ($58 through Sunset).

Correct. Small one is MK1 and Large one is MK2. I should have my car back middle of this week and will FINALLY do the install of the lip. I am really getting frustrated with the body shop. I have kept delaying putting the lip on (since 2nd week of Feb) because I have to keep taking it back a day or 2 here and there to get the car correct and the last thing I want is them to damage it and then have to start over again! These guys are really infuruating me.
This will be the last time though since I talked to my rep there and told him to make sure it is done correct no matter how long it takes. I AM NOT BRINGING IT BACK! Just got off the phone with him and he said tomorrow. Thank God! I will try to fit the install in midweek but it is more likely this weekend.

Sorry, forgot to add, you will have to drill holes in your GT3 bumper to get the new holes to line up. Good news is the new MK2 lip has the same center hole in common. I lined up at that point then taped the lip to the bumper (painters tape) and marked all my holes by starting them with the lip on so they would be precise.
How much ground clearance is lost with those lips. My aero kit lip scrapes once and a while. I was considering removal of the lip. Was also considering lowering springs and I havn't b/c of the lip and my driveway not getting along. If I removed the lip would it effect handling?
Is there a front lip or splitter that just bolts on to a regular 2002 C2 front bumper, guys? I have been looking for one but can't seem to find any manufactured out there. I really don't have the funds right now to change to whole bumper into something like a GT3. Just looking for something inexpensive...

I saw something in the Performance Products catalog that looks like a splitter of sorts that attaches to the stock bumper to give it a more agressive look like the GT3. Just an add-on rather than the whole bumper.
Also, there is another member on this board but can't remember their ID off the top of my head that has that on a yellow C2.
