I'm thinking of selling my carrera 5-spokes, as I'm not using them (running the sportdesigns).

I'm thinking of selling my carrera 5-spokes, as I'm not using them (running the sportdesigns).
I currently have some Dunlop Wintersports mounted on them, along with some loose PS-ribs in the garage. Recommendations:
- should I have the winters dismounted, and sell the wheels without tires? If so, I'm thinking in the $1200 range. Fair? Or,
- should I mount the Pilot Sport Ribs on them? They have a bunch of tread, my guess is this combo should bring ~$1500?
- Have people had good luck selling through Rennlist? eBay? My strong preference is a local sale.

I sell all my old stuff on Rennlist, it works great. Also try 6speedonline for sale section, it works too.
$1000-1200 is a good price point on those wheels, you will have no trouble selling them. Don't bother mounting other tires, most people just want the wheels. I wish I had room. I'd take 'em off your hands.
I'm still looking for Carrera 5 spokes. I'll pay $1k if they are in like new condition. Just wheels, no tires.

All: thanks for the input on this. As noted, I'm still noodling this. I'm just trying to clear out the bloody garage, but it's going to be hard to part with these. It's probably going to take somebody local to pry them away.

Recently sold my 5 spokes WITH tires mounted for close to $1600
on eBay plus shipping. Check out item #7974983362 for a more detailed description of tire and wheel condition. I hope this helps.
