Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

my purge valve stay open when the coolant it hot. You know how normally to open the valve you stand the metal clip on its end. well when my car is hot the valve pushes up on its own... is this correct or do I have a bad valve? When the car cools off the valve retracts. When the car is hot you can push the valve closed but the pressure just pushed it back up like it is spring loaded. Like pushing in a door switch on dads old ford pick um up up truck Normal? Im running a tad hot too and thats why I started pokin round

POST 2Original post

Mine does the same thing.... Not sure if its normal or not.

POST 3Original post

Kyle, Brand new tank here and mine does the same as you describe. I never paid attention to what the purge valve did on the old tank.

POST 5Original post

Yeah, very normal. Kyle, don't you have a LN stat in your car? Surprised you are running hot. Maybe a bad fan relay?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

all the fans are running. rads are clean. New water pump last season. All I did was change the AOS
