I even set the cruise while I was on I95 at about 70-ish.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

16 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, I read the manual (RTFM!!). Yes, I know how to turn the cruise control on and off. Ok, here's the problem: when spooling up from a dead stop, I get a "MPH Limit Exceeded" message. How do I make it go away? The manual does not seem to address this issue, and turning the cruise control on and off does nothing to alleviate it wither. I even set the cruise while I was on I95 at about 70-ish. The message was waiting for me. 2003 C2, btw. Help!!!

POST 2Original post

It is not the cruise control but probably your limit setting is too low. Go into the menu on and go into "limit" and set the limit to higher mph.

POST 4Original post

My dachshund is smarter than your honor roll kid Have your Dachshund do it.

POST 5Original post

In case you still haven't figured it out, it is one of the items you scroll through in the trip computer section of your gauges. To completely zero it out so that it never comes on again, simply start the car, drive somewhere, while driving there scroll to the speed limit setting, and then... pull back (not necessary to pull hard, just to the stop) on the computer control stick for about 5 seconds. The display should then show a dash instead of a number. The warning will never come on again.

POST 7Original post

Its so easy even a Dashound could do it. ha. relinuca PS: Porsche+dog= the good life

POST 8Original post

I would just get a louder exhaust... it cures all gongs, creaks and wife chatter.

POST 9Original post

park it and polish it,....driving these cars is too complicated

POST 10Original post

Sounds like the error code system got reversed. Probably need a new computer

POST 11Original post

Honestly, I never even knew these cars had that kind of thing available as an option. Almost depresses me a bit to learn that a Porsche 911 now has a computer to tell you you're going too fast...isn't that the whole point? Same thing with the parking sensors you could get on the 996...not only are they godawful ugly, but who's having trouble parking a 996?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

dc88 was right. Thanks, dude.

I've got mine set at 174 mph. I don't want to exceed the manufacturers' spec for mine.

POST 14Original post

I would go to the nearest police department and turn myself in.
