Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Use local' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use local' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

My dealer is having a hard time identifying the correct socket I need for my wheel locks and was wondering if someone here could help with a part no or something that will help the dealer identify it.
The reason why I'm trying to get one is I'd like to have one at home in my tool box and one that I keep in my glove box.
The locks are factory and came with my 5mm wheel adapter kit. This is the one that comes with adapters, lugs nuts, and the locking set.
The code inside of my socket is "ABC 54".
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!
drive your car in, they should have a master kit (only about 30 sockets) have them go thru them one by one till you get the right one - order that one - its really that simple
Correct, but there is NO REASON they should be charging you labor to tell you which socket you need. And the price is probably LESS at your local dealer than shipping one from Sunset.
I get it. Duh!
Use the local to identify the correct socket.
One thing, our local dealer sells parts for about 2x what I pay from Sunset. So believe me, even with shipping it's cheaper for me, even in Hawaii, to buy stuff from Sunset.
Does your local dealer charge retail + a percentage? It doesn't hurt to ask what the lock costs when they tell you which one and then tell them you will think about it. Then call Sunset and compare. Post back as I'd love to hear what they are charging.
now you got it - your dealer to get the right one, the internet @ sunset to get the right price - my dealer charges like 10x (exaturation) what sunset does... when I asked them to discount the prices because it was a rip the told me to pound sand - so I dont shop there
